Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction (formerly, AMS Haunted Attraction) is back this year and has a new terrifying location! They have partnered with Maple Lane Farms, located in Greenback, TN. Maple Lane Farms has a popular pumpkin patch and hayride during the day. The evil creatures come out at night, ready for you to be their next victim!
The parking lot at Maple Lane Farms/TN Terror Haunted Attraction is all gravel and has some lighting. Once you get parked, follow the signs to the ticket booth and purchase your tickets. Be sure to purchase your tickets for the correct haunt because on select nights, Maple Lane Farms does its own separate haunt. After getting your tickets, head over to where the hayride picks you up, and get in line for “TN Terror Haunted Attraction”. The hayride runs approximately every hour and will take you to the haunt location. Once there, it’s easy to see the queue.
Come on over to Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction! Can you survive the forest of evil creatures, or will you become their next victim?
Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction had multiple different scenes with several actors. Each scene contained at least one actor, but some of the transition zones could have used more actors to create more scares. Overall, they kept the scares and entertainment flowing.
We enjoyed many of our interactions with the actors. Most of them had some interesting and unique dialogue that kept us on our toes. One of the actors called us “terrible people” just because we told them we didn’t expect them to own a car because they lived in the woods. Be careful what you say to them. They are not afraid to snap back!
Aside from all the entertaining dialogue, we encountered actors who would block our path and force us to go around or under them! We loved all of our interactions with the actors, especially the kids. They got mad when they gave us a gift, and we threw it on the ground. You don’t want to make those kids angry!
Many of the terrifying creatures in the woods had different behaviors. We encountered actors who would make jokes with us, actors who would jump out and scare us, then run away, actors who would get angry with us just because we stepped into their domain and actors who would creepily sneak up on us, just to scare us in a moment of quiet.
The majority of the costumes were distressed and contained details that were appropriate to the haunt. There were many different creatures within the woods, such as a nun, the Devil, an evil librarian, and a butcher. Each of them wore some pretty cool-looking makeup or masks. The makeup appeared to have been done by a professional, and the masks were well-fitting.
Many of the scenes contained creatures that appeared to fit well with their respective scene. There were one or two scenes where we weren’t sure what it was supposed to be, but the actors wore generic scary masks, so it seemed to work out.
In the past, we have always enjoyed interacting with the queue actors. This year was no different. There was only one actor, but this jumpsuit-wearing weirdo was so much fun!
Locating Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction is fairly simple as long as you know that they are partnered with Maple Lane Farms. The parking lot is all gravel with some lighting and parking attendants. Once you are parked, you will need to go to the ticket booth and ask to purchase tickets for TN Terror. Maple Lane Farms has its own haunted attraction on select nights, so be careful if you only choose to do one or the other. If you have already purchased your tickets online, you will just need to head over to the hayride pickup and get in line for TN Terror. The hayride runs approximately every hour and takes you to the haunted attraction. Once there, exit the hayride and get in line for the haunt.
TN Terror Haunted appeared to be mostly safe, with just a few possible trip hazards and low lighting. It would have been helpful to have a bit more lighting in some of those areas. Overall, this attraction seems very safe with nothing too concerning.
We always enjoy interacting with the staff members at TN Terror. Each of them appears to be friendly and professional. The ticket booth and parking lot attendants were also very helpful.
Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction has an informative website that provides details about the location of the haunt, dates/times, pricing, and where to purchase tickets. There is also a place where you can read about the theme of the haunt and find more information on the FAQ page.
The pre-haunt area felt like a fall festival. There were pumpkins, a corn maze, food trucks, and a hayride. Maple Lane Farms is meant to be a kid-friendly attraction, so it was not scary until you get off the hayride for the haunt. The haunt area has spooky decorations, lighting, and an actor roaming the queue. Even though we didn’t feel like we were at a haunted attraction as soon as we pulled up in the parking lot, we still felt the fall vibes, and that is always enjoyable.
The scenes of the haunt seemed to flow decently into each other. There were some instances where it was confusing to see one scene right after a completely different one. But overall, we felt immersed in the haunt. The actors did a great job of keeping us on the correct path, ensuring we didn’t get lost in the woods.
The exit of the haunt is near the entrance, so the vibe of the attraction afterwards is much the same as before. It felt somewhat spooky until we got on the hayride and the spooks were over. The exit of the hayride is near the parking lot, but not far from everything else, so feel free to hang out and grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks.
The special effects were few and far between at this attraction. There were no sound effects other than the sounds of distant banging or screaming. We were able to hear the actors really well because there were no sounds. And we could enjoy the sounds of the crickets at night.
About half of the scene designs had some pretty cool details, but the other half seemed thrown together last minute. Some of them just had some pallets stacked up or black plastic. We couldn’t tell what some of the scenes were. However, the other scenes, like the hillbilly home and the church, had details that helped create a creepy reality.
There were no animatronics at this attraction, but the actors did a good job of scaring us and providing entertainment, so they weren’t needed. The props seemed somewhat realistic. The church and the mental institution had some pretty cool props!
The use of sensory effects was limited in this haunt. It would have been helpful to have things like fog, lasers, or even a different scent. Different styles of lighting, such as red and blue flashing lights, dimmed lights, strobe lights, and purple lights, were the only sensory effects used at this haunt.

We were startled a few times within this attraction. The actors did a good job of creating different scare attempts. They would sneak up behind us to scare and follow us. We encountered an actor who was waiting for us at the entrance, then disappeared only to reappear somewhere else unexpected.
The actors did a great job of scaring the entire group. They interacted and scared both of us at different times. They didn’t seem to target either one of us, which made the haunt more fun!
There was a decent variety of scares used within the haunt. There were jump scares where an actor would pop out and disappear or follow us. We also enjoyed the different directions of scares, especially the one that was above us! The kids even created a sensational scare where we had to use multiple senses at one time. We had fun with the quick game of hide and seek with one of the actors as well.
The finale had a great scare! There was a victim who warned us about someone who was chasing her. The chainsaw-weilding maniac came out of nowhere! We made it out, but unfortunately, she was unable to survive the masked evil creature.
Aside from the main attraction, the entertainment included with the ticket price wasn’t as exciting as we had hoped. There was nothing spooky until you arrived at the haunt, but it only consisted of a few decorations, lighting, and one queue actor. We still enjoyed the fall vibes though!
We had fun at Tennessee Terror Haunted Attraction. The actors are really good at scaring and entertaining people. We feel like the price is decent based on the entertainment provided. It’s not as scary as we had hoped, but it was still a good time! I would recommend checking them out if you are in the area!
