We visited Deceased Farm this year and were pleased with the changes we found at this perennial favorite. Returning to a haunt you already know can be a bit of a gamble. Familiar attractions can sometimes lose their impact after multiple visits, but changes to the sets, scenery, and overall experience gave us plenty to appreciate during our return to the farm.
Deceased Farm continues to make good use of its collection of houses, outdoor areas, and cornfield to create an experience with plenty of different environments for guests to explore. There is a nice variety of scenes along the way, and the attention given to the set design helps make the attraction feel like more than a simple walk through a series of scares.
If there was one thing we wanted more of, it was time down on the farm. Between the detailed environments and the effort the actors were putting into their performances, we found ourselves wishing the trail lasted longer. We also would have liked to see more haunters occupying the various nooks, crannies, and hiding places throughout the houses and cornfield. The spaces are there, and with additional performers bringing them to life, some of those scenes could deliver even more surprises.
Still, there was plenty to enjoy during our visit. From the decorated waiting area to the graveyard effects and the cast’s energetic performances, Deceased Farm gave us several memorable moments and reminded us why it remains a favorite worth revisiting.
