Join The Scare Factor

Interested in joining The Scare Factor’s Team of Reviewers?

The Scare Factor is a haunted house and escape room review website and directory. We currently have 3156 business listings and 252 recently-published reviews. Our goal is to provide professional, world-wide coverage for as many of these attractions as possible. That way, thrill seekers like you can be better informed about what to expect before they arrive.

Because of this, we’re always looking to expand our network of professional reviewers. We’re looking for talented and dedicated people who have a clear passion for haunted attractions and all things spooky!

Below is a map that shows our current Teams’ typical coverage areas. Don’t be discouraged if you live in an area that one of our current Teams already covers. Most places are pretty densely populated with haunts and, if accepted, you can work closely with our other Teams to avoid a coverage overlap.

  • Able to skillfully read and write using proper grammar, English, punctuation, etc.

  • Access to behind-the-scenes tours, exclusive interviews, makeup demonstrations, etc.

This is a privilege and courtesy that is granted by the attraction’s management, who are NOT required to agree to this in exchange for their review. It is also NOT required of the Teams to ask the attractions for this benefit. Before applying, you should be willing to purchase your own tickets to at least three (3) attractions and write reviews for them to maintain your active status.
