On a chilly October night, I wondered where to go, someplace I hadn’t visited in a while, far enough to feel like a getaway but not too distant. Soon, I found myself at Eerie Acres Farm. Now in its ninth season, the farm continues to harvest fears from every guest who walks through their entrance. After nearly a decade in operation, they’ve certainly evolved over the years.
Eerie Acres Farm provides a classic Halloween experience, with 80% of the attraction outdoors and the remaining 20% indoors. As you make your way into the cornfields, be ready to stay alert – you’ll have no idea what surprises await you.
As I walked through this haunted attraction, I encountered between 55 and 60 cast members. Despite seeing so many, the attraction is spacious, with numerous hiding spots for scares. A highlight was how the cast stayed in character and continued to interact with guests even after their main performances, making the experience more immersive as you exited each scene. There was also a diverse cast, each providing different types of interactions.
Upon entering the room, I saw a cast member rush to a table where someone lay. A female cast member dramatically pretended to cut up Johnny, giving a very convincing and intense performance. Johnny played along, acting as if he were in pain until he eventually pretended to die. Later, I met someone I believe was a voodoo queen, who then put a spell on me.
As I made my way through the attraction, I encountered a cast member who was locking guests away for their next meal and asked if I wanted to be next. Meanwhile, someone inside a cage was already screaming, “Let me out! Help me!” There was nothing I could do to help. Later, another cast member amusingly asked if she could take my skin to make herself beautiful again.
As I moved through both the indoor and outdoor areas, I enjoyed numerous fun and memorable interactions with almost every cast member. When I reached the cornfield outside, a stalker greeted me, saying she wanted me for dinner because I was a 10/10. However, she added that she’d let me run for now since there were other guests to attend to.
As I made my way through the middle of the pirate scene, all the pirates were joking and making everyone laugh. One pirate asked, “What do the waves say to the pirates? Nothing, they just wave.” It was clever and cheesy, but still funny, especially since they joked with every guest who passed through. Another memorable interaction took place in a kitchen scene, where a cast member was cooking and announced, “Dinner’s about ready.” Then, they said they needed my fingers for the stew, and another cast member strolled in, adding, “Oh boy, we’re having finger food tonight.”
I could go on much more about these fun, interactive experiences, but it’s clear how much the cast members enjoyed themselves and the energy they brought to entertaining every guest. Their enthusiasm made the performances believable and enjoyable for everyone.
Costumes at this attraction varied in their detail – some were very elaborate, while others were much simpler. When I entered the scene featuring Johnny on the table, it stood out to me that he wasn’t really in costume but instead dressed entirely in black; I wasn’t sure if this was intentional, but it was noticeable. In the graveyard, I saw a well-designed reaper costume. The most impressive costumes, though, were in the clown section and the alien character. The clowns’ outfits were expertly distressed and very cohesive. The alien’s silver jumpsuit and realistic mask truly added to the immersive feeling.
At the attraction, we encountered a dentist in a classic white lab coat and some well-dressed pirates in authentic costumes. Masked and made-up characters appeared throughout, providing a dynamic variety. Although there were no actors entertaining the queue outside, all the excitement took place inside the attraction, which was just as enjoyable.
Upon arriving at the attraction, a well-lit sign directs you to parking. Parking attendants guide you quickly and efficiently to your spot, reducing any parking hassle. After you park, you’ll see porta-johns a short distance from the ticket booth. Signs indicate where to get tickets, and if you have online tickets, the process is even quicker. You exchange your ticket for a wristband with a number, which determines your place in the line.
The staff at the attraction were consistently friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a question, they responded quickly and directly, which was much appreciated. Their professionalism made the entire experience feel very family-friendly, something we truly enjoyed.
There were no safety or trip hazards throughout the attraction; whenever there was an uneven surface, bright lighting was provided to prevent accidents. Before arriving, I visited their website, which was simple to navigate and stress-free to use. It contained all the necessary information, including which vendors would be present each night they operate.
From the moment I arrived at Eerie Acres Farm, the haunted atmosphere was clear, highlighted by the large skeleton near the entrance. While waiting in line, I heard music playing and could faintly make out the screams of guests ahead of me. There isn’t a specific storyline to this attraction – each scene stands on its own, which worked well.
I was fully immersed throughout my walkthrough of this attraction. I didn’t notice any out-of-place speakers, lights, fog machines, or hanging wires. The cornfield section was by far the most immersive – while walking through, I never knew what was around the next corner. Eerie Acres Farm really makes great use of their cornfield
The process before and after the attraction remained the same. Upon exiting, you’re guided to the opposite side of the line and offered a photo opportunity. Additionally, you pass all the vendors on your way out, which encourages you to spend more time here before you finally leave.
At Eerie Acres Farm, the sound effects could have been a little louder to boost the overall atmosphere and create a more chilling, creepy environment for guests. The clown area stood out – the speakers were very clear, and the volume there was sufficient.
Although the lighting was mostly adequate throughout the attraction, some spots felt slightly under-lit. One particularly immersive sensory effect was the movie theater segment, where walking through made you feel like you were in a small, active cinema. Another memorable element was the graveyard, set against a striking church facade, with gravestones featuring real inscriptions and genuine caskets scattered throughout.
We encountered a UFO with lights that looked impressive. In the pirate scene, a pirate ship stood out in the background, also appearing quite good. I noticed several great props, including an authentic gas pump at the gas station, accompanied by a real truck. I also thoroughly enjoyed the various animatronics on display.

All of the cast members aimed to scare or startle me, and if I didn’t react, they would switch tactics to make me laugh instead. Eerie Acres Farm provides a variety of scares across their attraction. In the “movies” area, there are both mannequin props and real actors, so you never know what to expect. The cornfield is where you’ll experience the most intense scares. Cast members are scattered throughout the area, making it difficult to anticipate when you’ll be startled. This unpredictability made the experience highly effective; you could hear guests screaming all across the fields.
There are a few surprises hidden in the cornfield, which I’ll let you discover on your own. As you reach the end, you’ll come across a wooden pallet maze and must face chainsaw-wielding maniacs to escape. I really liked this concept, since it makes you confront them head-on; even if you’re scared, you can’t just turn back.
Tickets for this haunted attraction are priced at $25 for general admission and $45 for a fast pass. Online prices are slightly higher at $27.08 for general admission and $47.67 for a fast pass – likely due to service fees. The walkthrough experience lasted 33 minutes, resulting in an impressive 1.32 minutes per dollar (MPD), which is above average. This makes the ticket price a fair value, as guests truly get their money’s worth inside this attraction.
Guests can gather around a large fire pit outside the haunted attraction, enjoying music or a DJ if one is there. The area also includes several photo opportunities. While this is the main free entertainment beyond the attraction itself, the midway boasts a variety of vendors. Options range from local craft beer, temporary tattoos, and a hot dog stand, to sweets and mini flavored donuts, custom tumblers, a cartoon sketch artist, a wine stand, and their merchandise booth. The food vendors all looked fantastic, though I had already eaten before arriving.
If you haven’t visited this attraction yet, I highly recommend it. Whether you go with friends or family, you will have a great time. It’s very family-friendly, and the admission price is reasonable for the quality of the experience.
