Summary

Factory of Terror in Fall River, Massachusetts, takes place inside a 125+-year-old factory building with some underground portions! Tours were available for anyone brave enough to clock in, but be forewarned: this was no ordinary factory. The conveyors still ran, management expected us to report for our shift on time, and yet, we never quite figured out what they were manufacturing in there… Things went bump in the night, electricity ran amok, skulls became works of art, and spiders had clearly taken over several departments. Then there was the possessed book secured under lock and chain. Of course, someone must… Read More…

Guest Experience9.15

Our GPS led us directly to Factory of Terror, where a giant sign across the front made the building easy to identify. Parking attendants guided us into one of the nearby lots, and parking was free. The street that the haunt takes place on gets blocked off once the haunt opens, which makes it safe to cross. Navigating the property was simple, with separate entrances designated for General Admission and VIP ticket holders. Plenty of staff members were available to answer our questions, and everyone we encountered was exceptionally friendly. The facility was also clean and well-maintained. Before entering the… Read More…

Immersion8.71

The 125-plus-year-old factory building practically sold the experience on its own, but then we spotted the roaming queue actors, and what a creepy bunch they were! Even the indoor waiting area was fully decorated, pulling us into the factory’s confines and getting us ready to clock in for our shift. An excellent introductory sequence explained the storyline before we entered, complete with a scare! The theme remained consistent throughout some of the attraction, especially within the more industrial areas. However, some scenes, including the library, portrait-lined hallways, and Darbie box, didn’t connect as naturally with the factory setting. We understood… Read More…

Special Effects8.6

Many scenes made excellent use of the factory setting. Real conveyor belts remained in operation, while heavily distressed walls made certain areas look especially grimy and neglected. Realistic sound effects filled the building, making it seem as though the old factory had roared back to life around us. One standout area was filled with electrical malfunctions that made us question every step we took. Wires hung down everywhere, and one guy didn’t get out of that area as lucky as we did! The attraction also delivered one of the most effective lighting sequences we had seen in quite some time.… Read More…

Characters8.81

Before we entered the factory, a nun, Nurse Precious, the shock-stick lady, and Ekko entertained us in the queue. Each brought something different to the wait, and all four were excellent! Inside, the woman hosting the introductory scene immediately pulled us into the story, and the detailed appliance covering part of her face looked awesome! Another standout searched frantically for her missing socks and her cat. Or was her cat named Socks? Either way, we hope she found them… it… both? One chap preaching about the Lord’s light gave a convincing performance, while a devilish character serenaded us with spider-themed… Read More…

Scare Factor8.38

Inside Factory of Terror, we quickly learned that anything could move. Maybe it was the ladder hanging above our heads, the paint cans beside us, or a giant fly swatter suddenly swinging directly toward us! Well-concealed scare doors and hiding places allowed actors to strike before we spotted them. Some attacks happened so quickly that we never even saw who, or what, created them! Electronic scares also paired sound and lighting with well-timed reveals, adding more force to the resulting jump scares. Several unexpected blasts of air sent us screaming, and we certainly weren’t prepared for one dizzying, spinning scare.… Read More…

Value8.35

Factory of Terror utilizes timed ticketing, with each ticket assigned a 15-minute arrival window. Buying online saves $5 compared with buying admission at the door, so planning ahead is worth it. General Admission prices vary by date, typically ranging from $13 to $30, and VIP options are also available. VIP guests not only get the separate entrance, but they also have a decorated lounge to hang out in, and there’s a scare cam air cannon in there! We visited on a Sunday when online General Admission cost $21.26. Our journey through the factory lasted 20.5 minutes, for 0.96 minutes of… Read More…
