Summary

Fright Nights WV brings a full night of fun and frights to Glade Springs Resort. Yes, you read that right! This was the first time we had ever experienced a haunted attraction located right in the middle of a gated resort, which made for a pretty unique setting! Fright Nights WV features six different attractions woven into one continuous walk-through experience. These include The Cabin, Camp Kilamee vs. Mothman, Moonshine Massacre, Freakshow, and new this year: Voyage of the Undead and Twisted Tales. Each section has its own unique theme, atmosphere, and personality, making every transition feel like a completely… Read More…

Upon arriving, we entered the resort’s address into our GPS, which led us straight to the resort gates. Before entering, a security guard directed us where to go. We also noticed several signs pointing visitors toward the attraction, making it easy to navigate the property. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is in a field, so it can get pretty muddy, especially after rain. There is only one entrance and one exit, but plenty of parking attendants are available to direct traffic, making the entire process feel stress-free. Once we parked, we headed to the ticket lines.… Read More…

While waiting outside, we couldn’t help but admire the exterior of the haunted attraction. It looked amazing, immediately giving off those classic haunted attraction vibes, and the atmosphere was so much fun! Once inside, there wasn’t necessarily an overarching storyline tying the entire attraction together, but each theme was easy to follow, and we really enjoyed everything they had to offer. One thing that truly stood out to us was how frequently the attraction switched themes. The transitions between them were some of the best we’ve experienced in a haunt, and we really appreciated how seamlessly they pulled off each… Read More…

Special Effects9.21

Fright Nights WV had some absolutely incredible effects throughout the attraction! First up, in Voyage of the Undead, we came across beautifully crafted pirate ships complete with cannons that had effects going off throughout the experience. These details really helped bring the scenes to life and added to the overall atmosphere. Another detail we appreciated was in the Camp Kilamee section. We noticed an old-school radio playing, along with a small projection screen set up like a theater. These little touches helped make the environment feel more authentic and immersive. The attraction also featured some awesome animatronics, including a few… Read More…

Characters9.12

The characters at Fright Nights WV were all unique, entertaining, and full of personality! There were plenty of actors throughout the entire attraction, which helped each section feel lively and immersive. We really appreciated the variety of characters and the effort that went into making each theme feel distinct. In Voyage of the Undead, we encountered plenty of vampire actors who immediately stood out to us. Their costumes and masks were fantastic, and the consistency in their appearance made it easy to follow the theme. They did a great job bringing the vampire atmosphere to life! In Camp Kilamee, we… Read More…

Scare Factor9.12

The scares throughout Fright Nights WV were definitely there! Inside Voyage of the Undead, we encountered plenty of jump scares from the actors, and some even managed to get us more than once. We really appreciated how this section was designed to allow actors to target the same group multiple times, keeping us on our toes and making it difficult to let our guard down. Another thing worth mentioning was the cannons that would go off throughout the attraction. These unexpected blasts startled us several times and added a unique element to the scares that made this section even more… Read More…

Value8.79

We spent a total of 25 minutes inside Fright Nights WV. General admission tickets are $28 plus tax, bringing our MPD to 0.89. While this is a little below average, we feel the ticket price is fair for what the attraction offers. You get a decent amount of time inside, and the overall experience makes it worth the price! If you’re looking to skip the virtual queue, fast-pass tickets are available for $40. For those wanting an upgraded experience, the VIP package is $80 and includes access to a private bar, a private firepit, a personal escort to the front… Read More…
