We checked out the new location last night and we just want to say our entire group was very impressed!!! Everything was so much more detailed, and there were so many areas to go through. The wait times last night weren't bad we waited maybe 35 minutes and the whole event took us I think a little over 20 minutes. The manor is gorgeous, the trail now that it is in the woods was amazing, the big outdoor sets were awesome, especially the church. Best year yet, and we have been going to their other haunts for years!! We can't wait to go back next year and see what they add.

We have went to Screams In The Dark for the last 5 years at the fairgrounds and they always did a great job - but this new location is on a whole different level. The Mansion was SO impressive, especially knowing it was all built by hand. The set were extremely detailed, and we can see why people seem to want to go slow, there is detail everywhere you look! The new trail is just awesome compared to their old trail - there was a huge church, a witches shack, and some other surprises. It took our group about 20 minutes total once we entered the mansion, so well worth the price!! We can't wait to see what they have in store next year!!

We checked out their new location tonight - Hands down the best in the area. We had a group of ten and everyone absolutely loved it. Line took about 35 minutes, and another 10 after getting tickets. We LOVE the little ghost town while you wait - and all the actors keeping the line entertained was a nice way to get everyone excited was a great touch. The new opening ceremony was awesome. It took us around 20 minutes to go through everything and we will be going back again this year just to try to see more detail. So much better than the old location.

We went to Screams In The Dark last night, and the line was massive!! The wait was WELL WORTH IT!! Such an awesome experience - it took around 20 minutes to get through all the haunts. We just got back from "Halloweekends" at Cedar Point - so for perspective, we waiting almost 2 hours PER HAUNT. Each haunt was maybe 3 minutes long. So waiting for 2 1/2 hours for this was SO worth it. To anyone complaining about a wait you must have never been to any of the popular haunts downstate - 4 hour waits for 15 minutes.

My family and I visited Saturday night - We were told it was their second busiest night ever. We waited in line almost 3 hours total before entering the first attraction. They did a great job of entertaining us while we waited in line - and the ghost town was a fun place to just hang out and watch the actors work the crowd. The attractions were very well done, lots of great sets inside and outside. The total experience took us about 20 minutes - so at $20 it was a good deal for such a fun event. We heard some complaints in line about the wait times.....but for perspective we were just at Halloween Horror Nights, lines were an average of 2 hours for each haunt, and the haunts are about 5-8 minutes long - and rides were about 2 hours for a 3 minute ride. Keep up the great work and don't let the folks complaining get you down!!

Where do I start, I got charged twice for me one bracelet because the internet went down, I laughed the entire time because it's so predictable, and it was definitely not worth 20.

Absolutely Stunning - We went to their new location tonight and all agreed it was gorgeous! The town really felt like an old fashion town complete wth some old music playing. Standing in line staring at the HUGE manor was a great way to build anticipation. You could hear people inside screaming the whole time. The trail was just as great looking. The ticket price was $20 each, but we feel it was well worth the price for what is there. The actors were all doing great, and we loved that there was a good amount of space between groups. We did catch up to one group that was taking their time looking at all the details, but it was only for a few seconds. We will be going back again toward the end of the season.

I want to start off by saying this haunt needs to get more attention!! We travel Michigan visiting somewhere around 10-20 haunts a year - Haunts like Erebus, Wicked Woods, Rotten Manor, Terror On 23, just to name a few. These haunts are all awesome, and get tons of attention because they are all in lower Michigan. This year we decided to travel north a few hours to check out 'Screams In The Dark' after seeing some reviews on here. We weren't expecting them to compare to the 'Big Industry' guys south of them - boy were we wrong. This haunt we found out, is set up in about 4 weeks - which is pretty amazing considering the size of the event. We went through everything, 4 Different themed indoor attractions/areas, and a long trail full of fun areas that just felt like Halloween. The indoor haunts were absolutely amazing for being temporary, and the actors were in full force. This haunt in it's current form could give any of the above mentioned haunts a run for their money, and at a much cheaper ticket price for what you get. We were told by one of their staff that they are changing to a permanent location next year, and the plans they have sound amazing. We will definitely be coming back to see them again. Thanks for the great experience!!!

We took a group of 20 out to Screams in the dark last night, 5 adults, and 15 teenagers. We had such an awesome time!! These guys put on easily the best show in northern Michigan!! Everything was laid out great, there were things to see the entire event. Our whole group had an absolute blast, and the price for the event for what you get is a massive bargain! We highly recommend checking them out!!

This may end up being a long review, but I think this place deserves it!! We have been going to this event for the past 6 years - Not a year goes by that these guys don't improve somehow. Just when we think they can't possibly get better, they switch it all up, and top the previous year. We make our rounds to the other local haunts....but they can't touch this event. They do a fine job, and they are fun, but these guys just absolutely put on one of the best haunted houses we have ever been too. The sets are always great, with tons of detail. The actors are always fantastic...some of them REALLLLY get into their roles. The atmosphere they create is just magical, and is what fall is all about!! We will be going back at least one more time this year. We also just found out they are creating a new event, in a new permanent location, and by the sounds of it, it's going to be huge and way better than it is now....and we are beyond excited. Keep up the awesome work!!!

We have been visiting screams in the dark for the last 5 years, it has become a bit of a family tradition. We always try to make opening night so we can be some of the first people to see the new stuff. This year they made some great changes by moving the hayride stuff onto their trail, and we LOVED IT!! The indoor haunts were amazing, we love how they change things every year. The actors were wonderful, and had our whole family screaming the entire way. The trail looked amazing with the new lights, and there was stuff to see almost the entire way. GREAT JOB!! Can't wait to see the new location, we are SO EXCITED!!

We have gone to Screams In The Dark for the past 4 years, it has become a tradition for our family. We always have a great time and their crew does an awesome job.....but this year....WOW is all I can say. They have majorly stepped up their game this year. The scenes have been improved from start to finish either with decorations, new sound, or great actors. Job well done - our whole group had an amazing time and will be back at least one more time this year.

We decided to go on opening night - We go every year and love it - These guys knocked it out of the park this year despite the restrictions they mentioned on their website. The staff was extremely nice, and did a great job of following the Covid restrictions without making it seem like a issue. The haunt was stellar!! We saw many improvements and loved the new layout. We will be visiting again towards the end of the seaon for sure!!

My 6 year old daughter is SUPER into horror films, so we thought we’d bring her here for her first haunt. She had fun but it wasn’t too scary. For how long we waited in line and for the price especially I was hoping for it to be a bit more horrifying.

This event is amazing on several levels - this will be a bit of a long review but here goes. We have made this a family tradition because this haunt is always such a great time - Yes the lines get long, yes some drunks in line are annoying - but these guys always put on a great show, and their actors do a wonderful job of scaring....and handling the 'less than desirable' attendees. The attractions are always so detailed - each year things are new...or in a different layout to keep us guessing. We jave been bringing our kids for the past 5 years and it is one of their fall hilights now 🙂 Thanks to your whole crew for a great event - We are so excited to see the new location in a few years!!!

My family and I visited last Saturday - unfortunately the rain had closed the trail portion of the event, but they kept the rest open for a discounted price. We absolutely loved the haunted houses - The manor being our favorite. These haunts were the closest we have seen to the more expensive downstate haunts. Great detail, great actors, and the price was decent. Hoping to go back before the season is open to experience the trail as well.

We visited Saturday night, drove 2 hours to get there. This was our first time visiting this attraction - we saw they were ranked #1 must see here so thought we would check it out. The line was HUGE but we have waited two hours before for a downstate haunt so no big deal. Line took about an hour. It starts with a hayride that takes you to the haunts, then you take a trail back to the front of the event. The hayride was quick but a good way to get you excited with a couple of unexpected surprises. The three main haunts were awesome and the actors did an amazing job - the haunts didn't over do the animated stuff which was a nice change from some big haunts we go to. The trail was fun and felt "classic" in its haunt style. They managed to scare everyone in our group several times, and for half the price of haunts south of them it was WELL worth the price. We will be back for sure!!

We visited Saturday night - It was raining by the time we got there and figured it would be a loss and that only part of the show would be going - but these guys kept even the trail and wagon ride open during the rain - and rocked it!! I have to give a few mentions - I am a 6' 3" - 240lb guy who hasn't jumped in a long time - There was a guy in the swamp that got me right of the bat with this loud snarl....I nearly knocked my wife over - and one of the clowns got me pretty good too in the hallway. Great job guys and thanks for staying open!!!

Wow...Just wow! We drove almost 2 1/2 hours with a group of 6 people to check out this event after hearing a few people talk about it. We all had a wonderful time....got the hell scared out of us and are still talking about it. Great job!! We did hear a group talking about how they thought it was a little too short....they have obviously never been to some other haunts - Most haunts we have been to charge at least double for everything you get here - and you have to wait much longer to get into them - This haunt was priced great and well worth the time to drive there.

We went opening weekend on Saturday - The whole family had an awesome time - Generally we take the kids to the Ghost Farm But this year we thought they were old enough for something a little more "Scary" and boy did it deliver 🙂 First off for the price you get way more to do than the other haunts we have gone to. Secondly the haunts are so much more advanced? I guess that's what I would call it - They are using things you don't see in the other small local haunts - this group is true professionals when it comes to haunting. We will be back for sure!!!

We were in from out of town last year and were told about this place - We have been to some big haunts, this place takes up a huge fairgrounds!! They had 5 different haunt as well as a trail and hayride. The actors were awesome, the themes were great...and the price was CHEAP compared to the large haunts we are used to.

I really enjoyed this experience. The attractions were well thought out and placed. It was a Delight to even take my children with me. Each placed was themed and offered different scares. I'm looking forward to going again this year!
