#10: Hill of Terror
Hill of Terror offers one of the longest outdoor trails (45 minutes) through the dark, wooded hills of Kentucky! During the trek, visitors will venture through a barn, multiple corn fields, several buildings and more! Also, don’t forget to buy extra paintballs during your ride to the top of the hill.
Edge of Darkness is more of an old-school haunt that builds their own special effects! With creativity and uniqueness in mind, be sure they’re on your “Must-See” list this haunt season.
Cave City, KY
Word has it that this is a very different haunted attraction. If you are looking for chainsaws and clowns at a haunt, then Raven’s Cross is NOT your destination!
Fallsburg Fearplex is nestled in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in Eastern Kentucky. They also offer five unique attractions at their single location, including a corn field, an outdoor trail and three indoor attractions. It’s also been said that the Fallsburg Haunted House (one of the five attractions) may be truly haunted! Dare you find out if the stories are true?
#6: USS Nightmare
USS Nightmare is a haunted steamboat that takes place aboard a retired former river-dredging vessel. In fact, the boat remains in the exact condition it was left after the “Mitchell Massacre.” Do you dare to face this dire crew and test your wits at escaping before becoming a permanent crew member yourself?
Asylum Haunted Scream Park spans across 40+ acres and includes five separate attractions! Love to shoot zombies? They’ve got you covered. Enjoy annihilating zombies with laser guns? They’ve got that too! Like watching your friends pee themselves? Guess what… they can make that happen too! Based off our review team’s previous visits, we suggest setting an entire evening aside to visit Asylum so you can experience each of their attractions while you’re there.
Wicked World Scare Grounds offers three unique attractions at their single location. If you enjoy seeing a wide range of original creatures, then be sure to visit them this season, as they have many of them lurking about waiting to meet you!
The 7th Street Haunt is one of the largest indoor haunts in Kentucky. In detail, their 2 attractions span over 25,000 square feet! Furthermore, one of their haunts has been completely rebuilt for 2017. During haunt season, 7th Street also offers several unique special events, including the “Institutionalized Challenge” where you’re strapped to a wheelchair and pushed throughout one of the haunts. Make sure you visit their Facebook page and website for more information.
#2: Sandyland Acres
SandyLand Acres consists of two haunted attractions, their namesake Haunted Hayride and Farmer’s Revenge. They are also celebrating 10 years this season and offer very reasonable combo passes.
The Haunted Hotel is “Louisville’s longest standing and scariest attraction!” This is a full-touch haunt, so be prepared to have your personal space bubble bombarded at this place! Because the Hotel has received many awards and made several top lists over the years, it comes as no surprise that they’ve conquered this list as well.
