Top “Must-See” Haunted Houses in California for 2019
The fans have spoken! This past summer, we opened up the polls so that haunt-goers like you could vote for your Top “Must-See” Haunted Houses in California for 2019. The tally is final and the results are in; here they are for you to see:
#5: Beyond the Gates – Snellings, CA
Formerly Snellings Ranch of Horrors, Beyond the Gates is a haunted attraction containing multiple haunts as well as a paintball adventure, paranormal investigations, and more!
#4: Beware the Dark Realm – Santa Clarita, CA
Beware the Dark Realm is a high intensity home haunted house attraction. The show is based off of a medieval castle. This haunt is FREE to the public; however, they do help to raise funds for their local, non-profit SCV Domestic Violence Center. Each guest that donates $5.00 to the cause will receive a front-of-the-line pass!
#3: All Saints Lunatic Asylum Haunted Attraction – Apple Valley, CA
All Saints Lunatic Asylum is known as California’s “Most innovative and terrifying haunted attraction experience.” Their haunt covers around 6,000 square feet and hosts over 60 volunteers!
In 2018, our professional review team, Team Elm Street Dreamers, was given the opportunity to review the Asylum. Overall, they were scored a 9.04 out of 10!
#2: Pirates of Emerson – Alameda County, CA
Pirates of Emerson is known as, “The Bay Area’s Halloween Tradition” and 2019 marks their 28th year in operation. This attraction takes place at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds across a 6-acre compound complete with 5 haunted attractions and more!
This year, their opening night is October 4th!
#1: The 17th Door – Fullerton, CA
The 17th Door is one of California’s most intense haunted houses offering around 35 minutes of interactive terror! This haunt is so extreme you must sign a waiver before entering.
In 2018, our professional review team, Team Elm Street Dreamers, were brave enough to face the attraction. Overall, the haunt scored a 9.53 out of 10 and a 9.75 for scariness! Now that’s one scary show!
