Top “Must-See” Haunted Houses in Connecticut for 2019

The fans have spoken! This past summer, we opened up the polls so that haunt-goers like you could vote for your Top “Must-See” Haunted Houses in Connecticut for 2019. The tally is final and the results are in; here they are for you to see:



#5 (Tie): Trail of Terror – Wallingford, CT

The Trail of Terror is an outdoor haunted event made up of all volunteers! The Trail donates all of their proceeds to the Wallingford Connecticut chapter of the Red Cross and other charities each year.

#5 (Tie): Nightmare Acres – South Windsor, CT

This haunted attraction takes place at Nomad’s Outdoor Adventure on Governor’s Highway. For 2019, they will be open Fridays and Saturdays in October as well as the first two weekends in November for special events. They will also be open on Sunday, October 13th. On November 8th and 9th they will be offering optional touch inside the haunt!

#4: Haunt on Eden – Plantsville, CT

Haunt on Eden will be open Fridays and Saturdays in October for the 2019 season. They will also be open for a Tricks and Treats Family Event for kids 10 and under on Sunday, October 27th.

They have given us a sneak peek for this year on their website. We’ll give you a hint… It contains an image with the words, “Raising Hell!”

#3: Evidence of Evil – Southington, CT

Evidence of Evil was reviewed by one of our professional review teams last year and overall, they scored a 9.05 out of 10! Their Cast received a whopping score of 9.58! Now this crew is on it!

For 2019, they will be revealing an all-new theme and story within an all-new experience. “Are you prepared?”

#2: Fright Haven – Stratford, CT

Fright Haven is known as “Connecticut’s largest, scariest and greatest indoor haunted house attraction.” The building consists of 20,000 square foot of indoor scares, so yes, they’re even open if it rains!

#1: Legends of Fear – Shelton, CT

Legends of Fear was ranked number 1 out of all haunts reviewed by The Scare Factor in 2018! Their overall score was a 9.69 out of 10!

This haunted attraction and farm takes place at the Fairview Tree Farm. Guests can experience a variety of haunts from the Haunted Hayride and Hemlock Manor Mortuary to the Pine Hills Parish and the Dark Harvest.
