Lester Hospital, originally D.E. Jackson Memorial Hospital, opened in the 1940s as a community clinic and closed in the early 1990s. Employees and patients have reported objects moving and ghostly figures in its corridors. The wider Lester, Alabama area also hosts paranormal sightings: a blood-soaked woman near Todd Lake and an animal-headed woman slurping motor oil by Baptizing Branch. Paranormal teams including Scare 4 Charity have found it a hotbed of activity and now offer haunted tours.
