I go to 3-4 Haunted Houses every year and check out DoD every other year. DoD never disappoints with its jump scares, animatronics, actors, technolog... y advances, and just cool factor with all their different scenes. Getting Buried Alive (which is optional) is an amazing experience that gets your heart going every time. It is shocking that the haunt takes you 50+ minutes after you start your journey, as it seems to go by pretty fast as there is something for everyone and it never feels boring. If you buy your ticket in August, you can get a special 50% off coupon which makes it seem like you are stealing your ticket.Best haunted house in the midwest for sure.Read More
Suggested Improvements:
Not much, but more air pillows that are clastrophobic...those are fun.

Our group visited Dungeon of Doom on 10/14 Saturday and we arrived at about 10:15pm. The GPS leads you to a different address, however, it was really ... easy to follow the signs and they have their own parking on site. There was a Bacci Pizza food truck on site that day. There were plenty of porta potties to use outside the haunt and a few available to use while in line. We opted for the Fast Pass tickets which I think should be noted they can only be purchased online and not onsite. The cashier let us know that only General Admission can be purchased onsite. There was quite a line for GA and a short line for the fast pass but it took us no longer than maybe 15 minutes to get inside the haunt. There were plenty of actors in the waiting line, even in our short 15 minutes I was approached a handful of times. I have visited this haunt for years and was a little hopeful that the haunt wouldn't be the exact same as it has been in previous years. It's always nice for a little change. This year I think there were many changes that made me enjoy this haunt even more. A few notable things - there is a new 'Judgement' room that was added to the haunt this year which I think is a great new addition. This room had a plethora of props and actors which were covered in white sheets leaving you to wonder which one was going to jump out at you! They did a great job in this room and I would even say it was my favorite portion of the haunt. Some other memorable rooms were the green light and fog room which gave a similar vibe to a swamp. What stood this one apart from others is that the light and fog level sat a little higher making it difficult to see below the fog level and also making it a little harder to know where you need to go. The clown themed walk through had plenty of actors jumping out at you from all different directions, even above! About half way through the haunt there is an area I would imagine to provide a little crowd control. We entered into the doctor’s office and the actors set up a really good scene into the hospital with plenty of patients that wanted to lure us in and keep us there! There was a running shower in this area which added a wet experience to it, however, our group did not actually get wet. All around the costumes were very detailed and there was a broad range of different themed actors, nothing was overdone. I enjoyed seeing different actors in their appropriately themed rooms. I also noticed they used a lot of lighting throughout the haunt to kind of distract you from what's in front of you and most times it was used for a perfectly timed scare from the actors! The actors really impressed me this year and at one point I even had two actors jump out at me on opposite sides. Overall, I think there were a lot of improvements to this haunt from previous years and would strongly recommend a visit, even if you've visited this haunt recently.Read More
