Special Directions: At Bushkill Park
What They Liked Most:
The village that they built up in the back is pretty sick. You can tell ALOT of work went into it. The overall theming is great. I was told it was set... up only with a couple of people which is quite impressive. The actors when I went were very good. Would definintely go again and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, well done haunt! Can't wait to see what they do next year!Read More
What They Liked Most:
Showed up at opening time and waited an hour as the gates were still locked, the woman did apologize about the wait but the experience continued to be... down hill from there.
The whole thing felt poorly organized, we were told someone would tell us where to go at the cemetery and there was no one there, a few other groups began to congregate in confusion until a guy did show up and you could hear the actor he was off speaking to at the entrance say "well I can't scare them now!" - one of many scares we missed out on
Group spacing was poorly timed as we were constantly trying to give some space to the group ahead of us while not letting the group behind us catch up. I understand this happens when places are busy as they want to limit the wait time but it was by no means busy that night. Because of the poor group spacing I am certain we missed out on jump scares as actors didn't have time to reset, the mutilated deer in the hunting shack wasn't lit until we stood around trying to see what it even was and the gurney didn't activate until We'd already exited the shack. If there was supposed to be actor scares in the butchershop we didn't get to experience any of them..
The tickets felt redundant to the wristband, at best I could see one for the start of the walk and one for the fun house. We thought the ticket taker for the butchershop was just a jump scare, as we continued on he had to break character and ask for our tickets, it gave us a good laugh but it pulled you out of the experience.
It's a shame because you can tell so much time and effort was put into the pieces and set up but overall wasn't worth the long wait or the money spent.
I will say the fun house was very neat, I enjoyed the interactive parts like the rocking stairs, the roller path and the slide.Read More
