About Crown Point Sheriffs House and Jail

The Old Jail and Sheriff's House was built in 1882. Known for John Dillinger's escape in 1934 and filming for the movie Public Enemies with Johnny Depp in 2008. The Jail and House are owned by the Sheriff's House Foundation and undergoing continuous restoration. Open to the public for jail tours and posted dates for paranormal tours.
