Lassiter Haunted Trail

Lassiter Haunted Trail

10/17/25 – Tammy, Team Zombillies

If you had told me I’d be spending my Friday night back at my old middle school, I would’ve laughed until I heard the screams echoing through the halls. The Lassiter Haunted Trail in Louisville, Kentucky, may only open for one weekend each year, but in that short time, they deliver a fright-filled experience. This year marked their 20th season, and it’s clear that the next generation of haunters is already hard at work… lurking in the corners, waiting for the bell to ring.

Once I stepped inside, there was no escape. Sadistic clowns, blood-splattered zombie students, and teachers who’d clearly had better days attacked from every direction. Around every corner, someone, or something, was waiting to make me regret skipping detention. Speaking of detention, you don’t want to be late for class here… Because detention at Lassiter isn’t just boring, it’s deadly. And if you run into Max, you might just become one of the many lost souls doomed to roam those haunted halls forever.

What impressed me most was that the cast and crew are mostly students, with a few adults guiding them along the way. These kids built the props, designed the sets, and gave it everything they had, and it showed. Their energy, creativity, and commitment to the scares made it an absolute blast.

Even better, every scream supports a great cause, with all proceeds going to help children in the community. So next October, when the doors creak open for just one weekend, don’t miss your chance to visit The Lassiter Haunted Trail. Trust me – these students will scare you later!
