Cast Review:
The cast at Madhaunter’s Madhouse truly elevated the haunt experience, maintaining a perfect balance of creativity, energy, and engagement throughout the night. Despite arriving late, we were impressed by how energized and enthusiastic the actors remained, never showing signs of fatigue. Their presence was well distributed across the haunt, ensuring minimal downtime between scares and keeping the intensity high.
The actors seamlessly stayed in character, delivering scares, creatively managing crowd control, and using improvisation, rather than following a scripted approach. One standout example was the actor who controlled the line at the squeeze room. He cleverly kept groups separate while interacting with each in unique and personalized ways, creating a highly interactive experience.
Another memorable moment involved actors using props and their surroundings to enhance the atmosphere, like the actor who stopped Loghan to watch him beat on a “drum”, adding an unexpected element of participation to the scare.
The cast’s ability to bring their characters to life was truly remarkable. From Sadie’s eerie, silent stares to Maise and the Madhaunter’s lively interactions, each actor contributed to the overall narrative, making it feel like each character had a purpose. Even the child actors kept their energy high, proving that this cast was not just going through the motions, but were passionate about their roles.

Costuming Review:
The costumes are true works of art, reflecting the same creativity and craftsmanship found throughout the attraction. Each costume feels complete and authentic, with nothing out of place. When appropriate, they feature a beautifully distressed and tattered look, enhancing their character.
Made from high-quality materials, the costumes seem tailor-made for the actors, fitting them perfectly and bringing each character to life. They seamlessly connect the scene to the performer and enrich the overall narrative without drawing attention away from the experience. Every detail contributes to immersing the guest into the storyline.

Customer Service Review:
The customer service experience at the haunt was excellent from start to finish. Madhaunter’s Madhouse was easy to locate, although parking was very limited, which led us to park along the road. Thankfully, parking flaggers were present, efficiently directing cars to available spots.
The ticket booth is also the entrance to the haunt, and despite being busy, the staff managed the line with impressive professionalism and friendliness. The ticket booth staff provided clear instructions about the attraction, including where to start, when we could enter the trail line, and which attraction to do first (if doing the preCURSEr). They made sure to emphasize that once we finished the trail, we exit back into the parking lot with no reentry.
Queue lines were well organized, and easy to find. The entire area was well-maintained and adequately lit. Information about ticket prices, hours, and policies was readily available on their website, with general admission priced at $30 and additional options clearly outlined.
Safety is a top priority at Madhaunter’s Madhouse, and this commitment was clearly demonstrated during our visit. There were police and security personnel on-site, which provided an added sense of security. As we were leaving, an actor promptly alerted the owner to an incident between two customers. The owner, along with the actor, swiftly contacted the reporting staff to gather more information, taking immediate action to resolve the situation. We were very impressed by the prompt response and professionalism displayed by both the actor and the owner, as well as the police and security team.
Their proactive approach ensured that any issues were handled efficiently, reinforcing their dedication to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. It was evident that they genuinely care about both safety and the overall experience of everyone attending the haunt.

Immersion Review:
The pre-haunt atmosphere at Madhaunter’s Madhouse brilliantly set the stage for what lay ahead. Queue actors like Maise and the Madhaunter engaged guests with interactive antics, handing out bouquets of flowers, and playfully honking horns, which made the environment lively and exciting.
With entertainment options like a nightly stage show, food trucks, and games such as cornhole and trash can pong, there was plenty to do aside from the attraction.
Actors were outside walking the entry line, creating fear in visitors before even entering the midway. The trail did a stellar job of seamlessly integrating scenes inspired by popular horror shows/movies, while adding their unique twist. Subtle details, like the familiar tune “One, Two, Freddy’s Coming for You” in a bedroom scene, enhanced the immersive experience without relying solely on iconic characters.
The attraction maintained consistent immersion throughout, with carefully hidden props and strategic actor placements that prevented any conga lines. Each scene transitioned smoothly into the next, with actors effectively maintaining character and continuity, such as a little girl actor hinting at future scenes, which enhanced the excitement.
After experiencing the preCURSEr, guests are released back into the midway before heading to the trail, and after exiting the trail, visitors are released back into the parking lot.

Special FX Review:
The special effects were impressively executed, enhancing the overall immersiveness of the attraction. The sound effects, including the chilling tune “One, Two, Freddy’s Coming for You,” effectively connected classic horror elements to the unique scenes, while buzzing bee sounds added authenticity to the hive environment.
Scene designs were masterfully detailed, making each area feel incredibly realistic. For instance, the saloon featured liquor bottles oozing with green, and the surgery room was so lifelike it could make your stomach turn.
It was clear that significant time and effort went into creating their scenes. There were no bare walls to break immersion, and even the outdoor trail was thoughtfully decorated, such as pentagrams made of sticks hanging from trees. Each room’s purpose was unmistakable, and the variety of textures on the flooring and bridges added depth to the experience.
The bridge scene was very original, and we have never seen flooring like that before. Walking through nostalgic areas, such as the children’s room filled with familiar toys, deepened the sense of immersion. The animatronic in the church scene was an example of a well-placed animatronic that helped to maintain surprises, as well as distract your attention for the main scare.
Special effects were utilized creatively, including an impressive sewer set and effective fog, that enhanced the atmosphere while making you weary while navigating through areas, afraid you’ll come across an actor.
Lighting was strategically placed to enhance mood, with flickering effects and colored lights, adding to the eerie ambiance. The inclusion of a vortex tunnel and laser swamp created engaging illusions, and small touches, like water squirting from actors, added an interactive element.

Scare Factor Review:
Madhaunter’s Madhouse provides a thrilling experience throughout the attraction. The actors used a variety of scare tactics, delivering genuine scares that caught us off guard multiple times. While there were moments that made us hesitant to proceed, such as when actors paused our group and had individuals go through alone, they didn’t target one person in the group over others. They wanted to get a scare out of everyone.
Scares were strategically timed, and they utilized distractions to keep us on edge, making it difficult for us to guess where the next scare would be. One standout was an actor in the queue who engaged us before we even entered the haunt, creating a unique and personal experience and picking up where we left off in conversation from the last encounter when we came across him again.
The little girl on the bridge also added an original touch making guests cross the bridge only as she allowed. The use of platforms, and actors strategically choosing different directions to come from, made it impossible to keep a look out for where they were.
With the quality and high standards we encountered throughout the attraction, we knew that it would be a difficult task to make a finale that would overpower the rest of the haunt; however, Madhaunter’s did a fantastic job of bringing the attraction to an end. We were glad that we got to reconnect with the queue actors we were interacting with in the midway, and bid one last farewell…at least until the next visit!

E&V Review:
Madhaunter’s Madhouse offers an impressive value for the ticket price. We spent about an hour navigating through both the preCURSEr and the main trail, with the trail itself lasting approximately 40 minutes. For $40, which included both attractions, we found the length and quality of the experience to exceed our expectations, translating to a solid 1.5 minutes of entertainment per dollar spent.
General admission tickets are reasonably priced at $30 ($40 if you want to add the preCURSEr), while a fast pass for skipping the line at the trail costs $45. The premium R.I.P ticket, priced at $70, includes fast pass access to both attractions along with a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and a snack.
The entertainment outside the main attractions was just as satisfying, with the midway full of activities to keep you entertained. We enjoyed the presence of queue actors, food trucks, and games like cornhole and “trash can pong.”
The atmosphere was lively, with various opportunities for photo ops and interactions. Madhaunter’s provided an exceptional amount of value. We wish that we knew about them sooner! They have been added to our must return list. Their passion shines through in every aspect of the haunt from the actors performance, scene creativity and design, to the miniscule details.
