Corey:
Whenever I was young, I always asked my mom to take me to a haunted house or Kennywood Phantom Fright Nights (now Phantom Fall Fest). After my first time going to a haunted attraction, I was hooked from that moment forward. I grew up always loving Halloween and anything horror. I absolutely love horror movies, too.
So, when I was 13 years old, I volunteered at Hundred Acres Manor as a scare actor. After my first night doing it, I loved it so much. Week after week, I would go. Eventually, after I turned 18, I became a core actor. Whenever they offered the job, I would go during build season and start helping build. Fast forward to when I became 21, I got into the union to become a commercial carpenter. I’ve learned a bunch of skills from my job and started using them down at the haunt. At age 24, I left the haunted house for multiple reasons. In 2021, I created a page called “The Pittsburgh Haunt Review Team.” At first, I made it just to start making short reviews for friends and family. It then started becoming pretty big and completely took off. I started making bigger and more detailed reviews. Eventually, I started going to 30+ haunts a year. We really go anywhere for haunted attractions. Paranormal investigations are also on the list.
The Scare Factor honestly gave me inspiration to create the page. I’ve always looked up to them and always wanted to join them. So, here we are today. I can’t wait to show everyone what our team can bring to the table! We are really grateful for this opportunity and for opening a new chapter for us!
Cierra:
I’m a passionate videographer dedicated to telling authentic stories through the lens. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual storytelling, I specialize in a range of content, from weddings, documentaries to social media content. I create engaging, platform-optimized videos tailored for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more—helping brands, creators, and businesses connect with their audiences in fresh, impactful ways. Whether I’m filming on location or crafting edits in the studio, I bring creativity, strategy, and a collaborative spirit to every project.
Jason:
While growing up, I was always into a lot of horror movies and video games. As time passed, Corey asked me to be a part of the Pittsburgh Haunt Review Team in 2022. At first, I was a little skeptical about it because I didn’t know anything about reviewing an attraction. But then, I absolutely loved doing it after learning a lot of the processes. I didn’t know how much detail got put into a haunted attraction until we started going all over the place. I can’t wait until my daughter is old enough, so I can share and experience my passion with her as well.
Chris:
Back in 2023, Corey and Jason dragged me to a haunted house. I then became very interested in this industry. I jump a decent amount, and I’m kinda afraid of clowns. So, they made me get a picture with one. I’m very excited to see what this year brings of attractions. If you can’t find me working or watching NASCAR, you can find me at any haunted attraction.
