Cast Review:
At Wicked Ways Haunted House, the cast took the experience to a whole new level, delivering a performance that was both immersive and unforgettable. The variety of characters constantly kept us on edge—from biohazard zombies to a towering figure with a woman trapped in his room. One especially chilling moment was witnessing a priest perform a spine-arching exorcism, with the actor bending backward on the bed in a scene that felt disturbingly real.
Another clever scare came from an actor who appeared to be chained and captive, only to spring to life when we got too close. In one interactive moment, they even placed Shane on a scale in the kitchen, measuring him to see how much he’d be worth as their next meal! The constant interaction from the actors and the impressive number of them made sure the energy never dropped, creating an experience that was full of surprises and one we won’t soon forget.

Costuming Review:
The costuming at Wicked Ways Haunted House was nothing short of outstanding and perfectly matched the overall unsettling atmosphere. Every actor’s makeup was intricately designed to evoke a sense of sickness, infection, or a grotesque zombie-like appearance. From blood-soaked wounds to festering sores, the attention to detail made the actors look terrifyingly realistic. Masks were also cleverly incorporated, heightening the eerie vibe. One of the most unique costumes was a man fully dressed as a rat, complete with realistic rat-like movements and even squeaking noises, which added an unexpected and creepy element to the experience.
Additionally, the queue actors were equally impressive, seamlessly blending into the haunted house’s grim setting. One actor stood out in a particularly macabre dress made entirely of severed heads, paired with a haunting half-face mask that was both chilling and captivating. Their unsettling presence set the tone before even entering the haunt.
Wicked Ways took a creative approach by developing unique and disturbing personas for each actor. Every character, from the gory zombies to the grotesque creatures, had their own distinct and horrifying look that perfectly fit the scene they inhabited. This originality not only added depth to the experience but also made each encounter within the haunt feel fresh and unexpected, heightening the overall immersion.

Immersion Review:
The pre-haunt atmosphere at Wicked Ways was spot on, setting the mood perfectly. Large, eerie lights illuminated the area, casting shadows, while haunting music filled the air, making the towering façade of the haunt feel even more ominous.
Once inside, the flow was flawless—never once did we encounter another group, which helped maintain the intensity and full immersion in the scares. The transitions between themes were smooth and natural, keeping us on edge from one creepy scene to the next.
After exiting the haunt, we were led to an onsite horror museum and gift shop, which kept the spooky energy alive. Everything was well-organized, and the seamless experience added to the excitement of the night.

Special FX Review:
Wicked Ways Haunted House had some incredible sound effects that really elevated the experience. From the blaring of car horns to intense air raid sirens, the audio kept us on edge throughout. The scene designs were equally impressive, with standout moments like the meat cooler—yes, an actual freezing meat cooler complete with frost hanging from the ceiling. It was an unexpected and chilling touch, quite literally!
Another highlight was a room designed to feel like it was on fire, with subtle smoke clouds on the ceiling adding to the illusion. The kitchen scene was particularly grotesque, with old, grimy props that enhanced the unsettling atmosphere. The bedroom scene where the exorcism took place felt just like an old childhood home. Scenes with a large table setting felt so real we could sit down and have a bite to eat.
Lighting was expertly used to guide and disorient, and of course, the vortex tunnel worked its usual magic, completely throwing off our sense of balance. Several air cannons provided sudden, startling bursts, with one especially large one that took us by surprise.

Scare Factor Review:
As for the scare factor, Wicked Ways delivered well. The scares came at us from all directions—above, below, from the walls, and even from behind, keeping the entire group on their toes. What stood out was that most of the scares weren’t predictable, adding to the intensity.
There were actors in the walls and yelling at us from a balcony in a bar scene. The finale was particularly memorable. Though it involved clowns, there were no chainsaws this time around, and the execution of the final scare was unexpected and satisfying. It was a well-thought-out ending to a solid haunted experience.

E&V Review:
Spending just over 12 minutes in the haunt for $25 might seem a bit short compared to other haunts. While the experience was well done, having more time inside would have added value to the ticket. However, it’s nice that they offer additional add-ons, like the escape room and VR, to extend the evening and give visitors more options for a longer and more varied experience.
