#4. Nightmare Realm – Mattawan, Michigan

One of our guilty pleasures when it comes to haunted houses is a good story. Consistency is key here, and Nightmare Realm could be the poster child for good storytelling. With interactive scenes and characters, you’ll love your trip through Cypress Hollow as Trista still wreaks havoc on the town. Celebrating five years of fear in 2025 with Retribution, the Realm opens October 4th! We would also like to congratulate Charles Brandt, Co-owner of Nightmare Realm, for receiving the Jesse McDonald award from Haunters Against Hate this year!
#3. Eloise Asylum – Westland, Michigan

Known for being one of the most truly haunted haunts in Michigan, Eloise Asylum offers 54,000 sq ft of high-tech horrors around every corner! This haunt boasts some of the most realistic and amazing scene details we’ve ever seen in a haunted attraction!
#2. Niles Scream Park – Niles, Michigan

Niles Scream Park is one of the largest haunted attractions in the country, featuring over 44 acres of fear! When you purchase a ticket to Niles, you are supporting a great cause! This giant haunt is a non-profit that has “donated more than $148,000.00 to local charities” over the years! Niles features the following haunted attractions: The Niles Haunted House, The Lodge, Dust to Dust, The Field of Screams, Wicked Woods, and Hooded. They also have plenty of good eats, photo ops, escape rooms, a gift shop, and more! The frights begin on September 6th for the 2025 season!
#1. Erebus Haunted Attraction – Pontiac, Michigan

Another powerhouse haunt in the industry is Erebus Haunted Attraction, a 4-story nightmare-inducing machine! This haunted house will try to eat you! They push the limits of fear, and their effects are designed to grab and bite you – literally! The doors open September 19th this year. Erebus is not just a haunt; it’s a piece of Michigan haunt history. We also pause to remember co-owner Ed Terebus, who passed away earlier this year. Ed’s contributions to both Erebus and the wider haunted attraction community will continue to echo in the scares and memories shared here for years to come.
