Remember, this is not a “best of” list – this is a list of haunts we feel that you need to add to your visit list this season for various reasons. Now… let’s get to this list of spooky shenanigans!
#10. World of Khaos Thrill Park – Tyler, Texas

World of Khaos continues to raise the bar, making it a must-see haunt where you just might lose your mind in their chaotic madness! The frights begin on October 3rd, 2025!
#9. 13th Floor Haunted House – Houston, Texas

“Experience the world-famous 13th Floor Haunted House, Houston’s legendary Halloween event. Halloween lives here!” For 2025, they will be featuring multiple haunted attractions, including Summer of Shadows, Infestation, and Rise of the Kraken! They also have mini escape games, secret bars, a live zombie apocalypse game, and more! The scares begin on September 13th, 2025!
#8. Silo of Screams – Temple, Texas

Silo of Screams is a large haunt with five different, full-size haunted attractions covering over 30,000 square feet of horror! They open for the season starting September 26th for low scares.
#7. Cutting Edge Haunted House – Fort Worth, Texas

Cutting Edge Haunted House is located in a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant that features multiple stories and multiple themes all at one location! They are also a 4x Guinness World Record Holder for the World’s Longest Walk through Horror House! The screams begin September 26th, 2025.
#6. Nightmare on 19th Street – Lubbock, Texas

“Nightmare on 19th Street takes you on a journey through four Haunted Attractions. You’ll enter the park through Mayhem Midway where ghouls will prepare you for 1.25 miles of scares.” New for the 2025 season is their Roger Ratty’s Playhouse Pizza 3D attraction. Guests can also experience Blood Moon Manor, KarnEvil, and Castle Dominus. Their 19th season begins on September 27th.
#5. House of Torment – Austin, Texas

The House of Torment is a world-famous haunted house and legendary Halloween event. For the 2025 season, guests can experience Torment ’99, The Arrival, and the Abandoned haunted attractions. Guests can add to their experience by also participating in mini escape games, axe throwing, secret bars, a Gellyball experience, and more! Opening night is September 13th, 2025!
#4. Bat City Scaregrounds – Austin, Texas

Bat City Scaregrounds offers three haunted attractions at one location across their fully immersive, 15-acre entertainment complex! Guests can experience Slaughter Mall, Castle Orlock, and Ancient Evil. In addition, they have live music, Vegas-style stage performances, seasonal treats and eats, and more! The haunting season begins on September 27th, 2025.
#3. Purgatory Scream Park – Kingwood, Texas

Purgatory Scream Park consists of four unforgettable haunted attractions including The Kingwood Asylum, Asphyxia, Dead Wood, and Hysteria. Will you have what it takes to survive? Face the horrors starting September 19th, 2025!
#2. Creepy Hollow Haunted House – Rosharon, Texas

Creepy Hollow is one of the scariest haunts in Texas located minutes from downtown Houston. For 2025, guests can experience multiple haunted attractions included 288 Scare Factory, Dark Woods Swamp, and Pitch Black. Guests can also experience live entertainment by The Creepy Hollow Freak Show, Inferno Fire Show, and Aerial Nightmares. In addition, be sure to check out the Voodoo Lounge, The World of Oddities, Dead Mans Alley, Teddies Terrifying Treasures, Phychic readings, and much more!
