Zombie Joe’s Unveils Bleeding Heart Bogeyman for Valentine’s Day 2026

The Scare Factor received an official update from Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group regarding their 2026 Valentine’s Day event: BLEEDING HEART BOGEYMAN. While our Scream Teams have yet to visit one of ZJU’s full performances yet, the press release details (plus the teasers and previews we’ve seen at local conventions) promises appeal for mature adult audiences.

TSF Insights:

ZJU is moving away from visual set design and leaning into sensory deprivation. By blindfolding the audience, they effectively bypass attendees’ most trusted sense: eyesight! Expect them to FULLY take advantage of their “Full Contact” and “Immersive” clauses.

For our families and casual fans, the 18+ requirement and mandatory waiver are the primary indicator of what type of experience this will be. Expect mature adult themes and physical contact.

At $20 for 25 minutes, the MPD (minutes-per-dollar) ratio is incredible! It’s actually higher than most regular walk-through haunted attractions.

Being a “Pop-Up” with a hyper-limited 3-night run, there’s definitely some FOMO in NoHo! But, influencers beware: for a ZJU event being 18+ only, don’t expect to be able to get your cameras/phones out for this one.
