This is not a ranking or a “5 best” list, and these certainly aren’t the only haunts in Wisconsin worth visiting. Think of this as a starting point for building your haunt list. Plenty more attractions across Wisconsin are waiting to be discovered! This list is in no particular order.
So, where will you scream first?
Abandoned Haunted House Complex – Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin
Abandoned Haunted House Complex in Mt. Pleasant brings three full haunted attractions together in one enormous complex, with Ambush, Hysteria, and Stalker each offering a drastically different style of fear. The property is known for huge environments, elaborate effects, talented actors, elevated walkways, industrial spaces, outdoor scenes, and enough detail to make the experience feel like much more than three conventional haunted houses.
The experience expanded again with Inner Fear, an immersive interactive add-on that pushes guests into a more personal encounter beyond the three main haunts. During our 2025 visit, the primary attractions took roughly 70 minutes combined and earned Abandoned an impressive 9.26/10!

Know Before You Go: Parking is free, tickets can be purchased online or on-site, Quickpass and Instant Access upgrades are available, Inner Fear and axe throwing are separate add-ons, and the midway includes food, drinks, merchandise, fire pits, entertainment, and photo ops.

Screamin Acres Haunted Houses – Stoughton, Wisconsin
Screamin Acres Haunted Houses in Stoughton turns a working family farm into a continuous four-attraction nightmare! This year, guests can experience Chop Shop, Lockup Under No Management, The Last Resort, and Side Effects Recharged.
Screamin Acres continues to make significant changes every season. For 2026, DeathTrap: Unclogged introduces a new interactive sensory challenge where groups must work together to find hidden buttons and escape, while other major areas continue receiving updates.
Opening night: October 2nd
Know Before You Go: All four attractions are included with admission, tickets are ONLINE ONLY, timed arrival windows are used, children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18, and the majority of the attraction is indoors. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes.
Burial Chamber – Neenah, Wisconsin
Burial Chamber in Neenah gives guests four very different experiences at one location. Adrenaline leans into darkness and traditional scares, Insanity is more interactive, Phobia Haunted Woods takes the fear outdoors into the woods, and Trapped Buried Alive gives guests an immersive simulation of being buried alive!
The complex is celebrating 25 years and is built for visitors who want enough variety to spend a substantial part of the night at one property. Roaming entertainment, food, drinks, music, and the nightly Monster Parade help keep the atmosphere active outside the attractions too.

Know Before You Go: Monster parade each night at opening, open rain or shine – free ponchos provided in rain, tickets can be purchased online or on-site, children under 12 may attend with an adult, food, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available.
The Realm of Darkness Haunted House – Kaukauna, Wisconsin
The Realm of Darkness in Kaukauna bills itself as one of Wisconsin’s most interactive and intense haunted-house experiences, putting guests in a maze where actors and effects are designed to make visitors feel like active participants rather than in a typical walkthrough haunted house.
The attraction emphasizes close interaction, low visibility, dark environments, intense lighting and audio, fog, uneven surfaces, and creatures that can appear from seemingly nowhere. Its tighter focus on one high-intensity walkthrough gives Realm of Darkness a very different feel from Wisconsin’s sprawling multi-haunt scream parks.
Opening night: September 18th
Know Before You Go: General Admission is $25 and Fast Pass is $35, tickets are limited and time slots frequently sell out, children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and guests should expect intense lighting, fog, low visibility, uneven walking surfaces, and physically demanding conditions.
Green Bay Fear Haunted Attractions – Green Bay, Wisconsin
Green Bay Fear Haunted Attractions in Green Bay is a volunteer-powered haunt with a strong storyline and a history of putting its proceeds back into charitable causes. For its 23rd cycle, the story centers on Dr. Kransberg, whose experiments have created an army of stitched-together mutants and monsters for the mysterious Charles Fearstien. The stage is set inside Shawano Manor, and they have joined the carnival!
For 2026, you can step right up and meet Brutus, “The Carnie Killer” Blight, as you’re invited to survive the Timorè Carnival! They will ensure your final moments of life are filled to the brim with a collection of nightmares, fears, horrors, and life-ending shocks! “The carnival is here, and it’s here to stay!”
