Welcome to the location of America’s greatest unsolved murder mystery, which took place on August 4, 1892. The Lizzie Borden house means many things to many people, from a historic gem to the most haunted house in the United States. Today, the property remains open daily from 10am to 9pm, operating as a museum, inn with breakfast, and offers a variety of tours and experiences throughout the day and evening, including historic house tours, ghost tours, and ghost hunts. We offer both in-person and virtual experiences. In the future, we plan to introduce a host of fun events victorian dinners, murder mystery nights, an escape room, new wedding options, and even axe (or hatchet) throwing!
