What They Liked Most:
To say that this attraction has some of the best set dressing, props, and general set building I've ever seen undersells the sheer scale of this ... production. The maze/haunted house is indeed about a mile but it feels longer as you wind your way back and forth. It's about $50 a person, which is significant, but it also felt completely worth it as the actors and the sheer scale of everything was so impressive. There's this amazing swamp scene where the use of lasers and fog were so good at giving the illusion of wading through waist-deep water, I genuinely forgot to be scared and just spent that entire room with my jaw on the floor amazed. The best part? I was so impressed with it that when I turned to tell my partner how amazing that effect was, a scare actor jumped out and got me good! Other standouts included the chainsaw scene at the end, AKA the: HOLY CRAP RUN scene for me, as well as some truly amazing actors and costumes. I loathe getting chased with chainsaws and every time I did, I did fully abandon my partner in favor of sprinting away. All the performers were great, however, I had two highlights: an undead old west prostitute on the second floor of a saloon who saw I'd removed my jacket and said she loved a woman who came prepared after I waved at her and a newspaper gal who was selling papers for 25 cents. Suggested Improvements:
I do worry that someone in a wheelchair wouldn't be able to get through some of the narrower tunnels/scenes. We also did end up running into a li... ne that resulted in us standing still in multiple areas, which we had no issue with because of the sheer detail in the set. However, I've seen multiple reviews citing that exact clogging issue as a concern severe enough to not attend the attraction. I don't agree with it, but if it prevents business, I'd recommend they perhaps adjust it.Read More
