What They Liked Most:
Madame Redrum's is set in an 1800s grist mill in a rural area. The set and props were excellent, especially for an indoor, single-house haunt. Th... e dimly lit interior was narrow in some places, with several flights of stairs and rugged, uneven flooring creating an intentionally disorienting layout. The sanitarium theme was well executed and surreal, making it easy to get absorbed in each room. The actors were generally great, and some roles seemed intended to keep the pacing steady. Allowing small groups, including pairs, to enter was also unique, and the slightly longer wait was well worth it. Staff clearly take safety seriously, with no scares while ascending or descending stairs. The price was more than fair for a small local production.Read More
Suggested Improvements:
There is little to criticize here. The haunt struck a good balance between atmospheric and jump scares, noise, and screaming, though a few actors were... a bit too reliant on screaming, and one instance came across as somewhat awkward. Overall, the balance was still strong. Despite the emphasis on pacing and flow, smaller groups may still catch up to larger, slower-moving groups ahead, so it is worth taking your time and engaging with the actors.Read More
