We’ve created a creepy list of Halloween haunted house attractions that we’ve reviewed, visited ourselves, filmed, or are popular amongst many haunt visitors! Remember, this is not a “best of” list – this is a list of haunts we feel that you need to add to your visit list this season for various reasons. Now… let’s get to this list of spooky shenanigans!
#10. Bayville Scream Park – Bayville, New York
Bayville Scream Park consists of 5 haunts inside a Halloween park atmosphere, complete with themed restaurants, bars, and a horror boutique! For 2025, the haunts are: Bayville Asylum, Uncle Needle’s Funhouse of Fear in 3D, Bloodworth Haunted Mansion, The Cage, and Temple of Terror. New this year is a Gellyball Shoot to Survive Evil in the Woods haunted trail, where you will hunt zombies! Screaming begins September 19th!
#9. Night Terrors Haunted Farm – Schoharie, New York
Night Terrors Haunted Farm is a farm-based haunted attraction in Schoharie County, New York, that lies just a few minutes west of Albany. This attraction consists of multiple haunted attractions at one location. 2025 marks their 14th season!
#8. Blood Manor – New York, New York
For “Halloween 2025… Blood will spill” at Blood Manor! It all begins on October 3rd! With costumed actors, immersive rooms, and a location that’s a magnet for horror and tragedy, we’re sure you’ll get your scream on during your visit!
#7. Pure Terror Screampark – Monroe, New York
16 years in the making, and Pure Terror Screampark has never gone as hard as they will in 2025 with ten haunted attractions at one huge location! “Every scene bigger, scarier, and more intense than ever.” The ten terrifying attractions are: The Crypt, Resurrection Cemetery, Bedlam State Asylum, Psycho Circus, Panic Attack Extreme (new), Desecration, Scapegrave High (new), Legends of Horror, Pumpkin Alley, and the Monster Midway! The scares begin September 19th.
#6. The Fright Nights – Syracuse, New York
What began many years ago as Fright Nights at the Fair has transformed and grown into what is now known as The Fright Nights. Nestled inside a massive factory, The Fright Nights combines incredible sets, gigantic animatronics, and an eager cast to create a must-see haunt in Syracuse, New York. Opening night is Friday, September 27th.
#5. Demon Acres – Hannibal, New York
“Demon Acres Haunted Hayride is Hannibal’s newest growing haunt, sitting on 25 acres. Come out and celebrate the Halloween season with us and see if you can survive the demented hillbillies in the depths of the backwoods. For those of you who have been on the hayride before, be sure to take a walk through DEMON’S DEN. We can’t promise you will make it out alive…” Don’t forget the Abandoned Jail, including the tunnels. Opening night is October 3rd, 2025.
#4. Frightmare Farms – Fulton, New York
Frightmare Farms is nestled in the backwoods of Central New York, offering an immersive Halloween experience. Celebrating 14 seasons of fear in 2025, they will be opening on Saturday, September 27th.
#3. Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Attractions – Ulster Park, New York
Over 30 years of horror lives at the Headless Horseman! Multiple themed attractions accompany this iconic hayride. For 2025, the Hayride theme is Night of the Blood Moon! In addition, guests can experience Jacko’s Inferno Walking Trail, Widow’s Walk Enchanted Gardens, Crow Hollow: Bitter Sweet Chocolate Factory (New) Walking Trail, Skinner Motel (New) Haunted House, Glutton’s Diner and Slaughter House Haunted House, Rose’s Swamp Shack Haunted Attraction, the Evil Reaping: Dark Harvest Corn Maze, Lucy Fear’s Circus Side Show Haunted Attraction, The Horseman’s Tomb Haunted House, Crow’s Cage Maze Walk Thru Maze, Roots of Evil Haunted House, The Feeding Contagion Haunted House, and Mother’s Manor Haunted House! The scares begin September 20th!
#2. Frightworld – Buffalo, New York
Frightworld America’s Screampark features 5 award-winning attractions at one location! This scream park is unique in that it’s all indoors! Opening September 26th for the 2025 season!
#1. Terror Field – Clyde, New York
Terror Field is at it again, and they’re not backing down. This must-see haunt will be celebrating 8 years in the Clyde, New York, location. While during our last visit it may be smaller than desired, this haunt is mighty, packing nearly 20 minutes of screams, laughs, and stumbling through the dark into this two-story walkup. Owners Brandon Struzyk and Gary Larizza are genuinely passionate about their vision and the haunt they want to see and have. This is one of the most powerful, intense, and in-your-face haunts in Upstate New York. If you think you’re ready to see the next step-up in haunted attractions, this is absolutely the place to start!
