Summary

Calling itself “New England’s ultimate Halloween destination,” 13th World Fright Park offered far more than a traditional haunted house. Its massive midway served as the center of the action, allowing guests to roam freely instead of standing in one long line. Each group received a number at the entrance and could explore until it was called, while VIP guests received immediate access to each attraction. The park’s main attraction was Welcome to Moonlight, a haunted trail and the only experience scored for this review. The remaining attractions were part of the midway entertainment guests could enjoy while waiting. In Alone,… Read More…

Guest Experience9.88

The guest experience at 13th World Fright Park is welcoming, organized, and makes planning your night seamless. Directions and arrival details are clearly posted on their website so you know exactly where to head. Once you get to the grounds, the parking is free, which is always a huge plus. You can buy tickets online in advance or at the box office door, but buying online is the way to go since at-the-door tickets cost $5 more per person. Inside the venue, there are plenty of food and drink options to fuel up before or after your walk. They also… Read More…

The large pumpkin sign at the road was a great welcome! When we pulled in, we couldn’t see much, but once we passed the ticket booth and looked down the stairs at the midway, our jaws dropped. Holy shit, this place was huge! Fog filled the air, a giant skull stood in the midst of everything, and roaming actors were already stalking the grounds and stirring up scares. With so much happening in every direction, the midway was the place to be, and the fact that the roamers were genuinely intimidating made it even better! Each attraction featured its own… Read More…

Special Effects8.61

13th World Fright Park delivers an authentic, backwoods-style atmosphere that embraces a gritty, grimy, and bloody aesthetic. This isn’t a high-tech sensory overload packed with glitzy screens; it’s a haunt that relies on practical atmosphere and tactile environments that fit the backwoods theme to a T. Visuals are enhanced with thick fog, strobes, red lights, and some candles, which were used very effectively in the convent. In one scene, a strobe hung right above a doorway, silhouetting an actor standing motionless and creating an incredibly creepy visual. When special effects are deployed, they hit with impact: a giant rat animatronic… Read More…

Characters9.13

First, we’d like to note that we experienced all four attractions at 13th World. Both North Pole Nightmare and Alone featured actors, though we couldn’t see our aggressors inside Alone. We certainly felt them, however, as they delivered some good jump scares and wiped something weird and wet on us! Inside the clown takeover of North Pole Nightmare, the clowns were energetic, invasive, and very touchy. One grabbed each of us individually, spun us around in circles, and then tossed us toward the next room! The toy soldier didn’t seem to like us in their area, and Satan Claus made… Read More…

If you opt for the Touch of Fear pass, brace yourself: 13th World does not hold back. The scares here are relentless, highly physical, and driven by an aggressive cast that takes full advantage of your personal space. We got shoved around, manhandled, faux-electrocuted, seasoned with fresh blood while forced onto a kitchen table, and left a bloody mess! The pacing kept us constantly guessing what was real and what was decor. In one standout room packed wall-to-wall with mannequin ghosts, one of them turned out to be an actor waiting to pounce. In the church, we were forced onto… Read More…

Value8.23

13th World Fright Park operates like a full-blown Halloween-themed amusement park, offering exceptional entertainment value for the price tag. General admission starts at $35.05 (includes fees), while the All Inclusive Fear Pass runs at $74.99. You can also get through the line quicker with a Fast Pass for an additional $15. Just a note: we highly recommend stopping by concessions for their specialty cinnamon rolls; OMG, they’re so good! For the complete experience, the All Inclusive Fear Pass delivers serious bang for your buck. It packs in a collectible lanyard and souvenir bag, five game tokens for the midway games,… Read More…
