Summary

301 Devils Playground opens its doors for another year of scares! This attraction has been on our bucket list for quite some time, and if you’ve never been, you need to check out this haunt. It might be a hidden gem for some haunt fans, but when we arrived, this place was absolutely slammed! They offer FIVE different attractions, but here’s the twist: it’s all part of one continuous walkthrough. After each attraction, you’ll find yourself waiting in a small queue before beginning your journey into the next experience. The five attractions they offer are The House of Hell, 3-D… Read More…

Guest Experience9.47

When we arrived at 301 Devils Playground, we noticed we were traveling down a no-outlet road. At the end of the road, there was a sign directing guests toward the attraction, along with several parking attendants waiting outside. Once we pulled into the lot, there were plenty of attendants helping direct traffic, which made the entire parking experience stress-free and easy! As soon as we stepped out of our vehicle, we could hear the screams of terrified guests echoing in the distance. That was when we knew we were in for a good time! After going through the ticket booth… Read More…

Each line we stood in did a fantastic job of setting the mood for the attraction we were about to experience. The facades were incredibly creepy and looked great, and we absolutely loved seeing how each attraction had its own unique look. The House of Hell and The Barn of Torture both featured creepy barn exteriors, which immediately gave off an unsettling vibe before we even stepped inside. Meanwhile, The Harvest featured a creepy old house, giving it a different look and feel that fit perfectly with its theme. We loved seeing these different facades throughout the experience because they… Read More…

Special Effects9.53

301 Devils Playground had SO MUCH going on in practically every single scene! We easily could have spent two to three hours just looking at all the incredible details and appreciating the time, effort, and pride that went into building this attraction. From the sets, animatronics, lighting, fog, sound effects, and even the smells, this place delivers just about everything you could ask for in the special effects department. There were so many awesome sets throughout the haunt, and the number of animatronics they had was seriously impressive. Even better, several of the animatronics were things we had never seen… Read More…

Characters9.2

Throughout 301 Devils Playground, we felt there were plenty of actors in each section, and they did a fantastic job of making use of just about every available area. One thing we enjoyed the most was how interactive the actors were with every single person in our group. They didn’t just focus on one or two guests and move on; they worked hard to keep everyone involved in the experience. We visited on one of their busiest nights, and yes, there were definitely times when we found ourselves in a conga line moving through the haunt. We know how challenging… Read More…

Scare Factor9.46

301 Devils Playground has so many different ways to scare you! From drop panels, breakaway doors, and chainsaws to unexpected jump scares and everything in between, they have something that will get just about everyone at least once. The way this haunt is designed allows actors to come at you from practically every angle, keeping you on your toes and making it difficult to know where the next scare is coming from. One thing we really appreciated was how the actors didn’t just target one person in our group. They made an effort to go after everyone, which is something… Read More…

Value9.39

We spent a total of 56 minutes inside 301 Devils Playground, which is a pretty impressive amount of time for a haunted attraction! General admission tickets are $50, while the hell pass is $80. Based on our 56-minute walkthrough and the $50 general admission price, that brings our MPD (minutes per dollar) to 1.12. We actually think this is a really good value for what you get! There is so much packed into this attraction, from the incredible sets and animatronics to the special effects, interactive actors, and variety of scares. The production quality is impressive, and there is so… Read More…

Despite not having a Haunted Hayride (my families favorite), this is BY FAR the best Haunted House in MD. The actors were incredible. Every single one... Read More
