I love a haunt with easy-to-find information and loved Creepy Hollow for how easy it was to locate and navigate. There are signs everywhere, and even audio explaining their thoughtfully designed queue system. Guests are instructed to scan a QR code, which will put them in a virtual queue. I did dock half a point from our “info” score for two reasons. I wish it was even clearer on the front page of the website that this is a touch haunt. There is a small callout above the fold that you can buy a “no touch pass” but it can be easy to miss if you’re speeding through the ticket buying process. Additionally, it would be great to have the FAQ linked in the header on the site instead of having to click into a submenu or scroll down to the bottom of the page for a direct link.
I was given a VIP pass, which allowed me to visit any haunt in any order without waiting in line. General admission routes guests through the haunts in a particular order, and each haunt leads into a queue for the next one. Watching the lines, they seemed to move quickly and I didn’t experience any pileups inside the haunt – a testament to the effectiveness of the virtual queue system. Added bonus – the lines for the haunts had a clear view of common areas and the scareactors made sure to keep folks on their toes, even in the line.
The folks running this place are consummate pros. Every single staff member is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable not only about any questions you may have but also about the history and fun facts of Creepy Hollow and the frights within. Special shoutout to the custodial crew, who kept the common areas clean and tidy, especially the tables near their food trucks (which by the way, served up delicious food).
