Scoring Criteria Transition: 2026 sits right at a change in our review categories and weighting, so this score isn’t an apples-to-apples comparison to reviews from nearby years under different criteria; worth keeping in mind if you’re tracking a haunt’s rating over time.

Summary

Fright Farm opens its doors for its 38th season, and once again, it proves why this attraction remains a yearly tradition for us. Every season brings something new, and the team continuously finds ways to keep the experience fresh for returning guests. Last year, the haunt’s main storyline revolved around Entombed. This season, Fright Farm has introduced an entirely new theme centered around The Curator, giving guests a completely different experience from the moment they arrive. One of the biggest changes this year is the replacement of Hotel Hawthorne with the all-new Springhill Sanatorium, a major transformation that showcases the… Read More…

Guest Experience9.01

Whenever you enter the address into your GPS, it takes you directly to Fright Farm’s parking lot. The parking area is fully lit and easy to navigate, and there is clear signage directing guests to the ticket booth. After entering and making your way down to the midway, you’ll receive a wristband with a number on it. This number corresponds to the wagon you’ll be assigned to later in the evening. One thing we really liked is that you don’t have to stand in a traditional queue line waiting for your attraction. Instead, you can relax in the midway and… Read More…

Immersion8.81

Before entering the hayride, you’ll find yourself in the middle of the midway enjoying live music and watching actors roam around interacting with guests. This does an excellent job of setting the mood for the evening. The combination of the live band and midway actors keeps the immersion going long before you even step onto the attraction itself. We really enjoyed the atmosphere they created here. After completing the hayride, the immersion continues as you’re greeted by a caretaker who welcomes you to the mansion before you enter the queue. While waiting in line, it’s hard not to feel the… Read More…

Special Effects8.65

Fright Farm really stepped it up this year! The hayride was packed with SO many awesome special effects, and we absolutely loved it! From an actor shooting a gun at zombies with an awesome thump sound effect to actual fire on the hayride, every scene felt bigger and more intense! The lighting effects were incredible too and really helped bring each scene to life. And then there’s the dragon that actually breathes fire! How cool is that?! It was definitely one of those moments that made us stop and say, “WOW!” We did notice that the speakers on the hayride… Read More…

Characters8.75

The actors, makeup, and costumes at Fright Farm were incredible! Throughout our entire experience at Fright Farm, we encountered around 100 actors throughout the evening. And that’s across the entire attraction! Having that many actors brings so much energy to the experience, but this place is so big that even 200 actors wouldn’t feel overcrowded. One thing we absolutely love seeing every year is how much Fright Farm continues to improve their actors on the hayride. It’s awesome to see the progression and the effort that goes into making each scene more entertaining and memorable. During our visit, we were… Read More…

Scare Factor8.41

Fright Farm really knows how to bring certain areas to life when it comes to scaring the crap out of you. One thing we absolutely love is how they build the intensity throughout the experience. The hayride has a few great scares, but it’s fairly mellow while you’re riding, giving you a chance to take in the scenes. Once you get off and start walking through the facility, the intensity begins to ramp up. Then you reach Slaughter Grounds, and things really get turned up. This is where we felt Fright Farm delivered some of its biggest and most unexpected… Read More…

Value9.84

When it comes to value, Fright Farm definitely delivers. Altogether, we spent a total of 56 minutes inside the attraction, which is an impressive amount of time for a haunt. Ticket prices vary depending on the night we visited. Our general admission tickets were $40, while the VIP pass was $70. Based on the 56-minute experience, that works out to about 1.4 minutes per dollar spent for general admission, which is well above average in our experience. We definitely feel that Fright Farm is worth the price. Their current ticket prices vary throughout the week, with Thursdays at $25, Fridays… Read More…
