Ghoul Brothers has put so much attention into the haunt that there is no way to see everything with only one pass-through. They’ve put so much work in that we found ourselves wandering the wrong way several times while enraptured with the bits and pieces. Cans and jars have in world labels applied for bio-meat and other irradiated goods. Egyptian-themed wall pieces trail around corners and along floors to transition into other areas. Sound effects are plentiful, but the coolest detail was the custom Mushroom Head Jingle for their in-world company. Bangs, screams, dangerous weapons, and tools all echoed around us. We saw a spell-binding light effect that slowed us down, and then we reeled away from some realistic and horrific scents. There was a projected video playing inside that haunts us still.
One thing that needs to be called out is there are set pieces you cannot see anywhere else, as they come directly from professional movie and television sets. Models from Jurassic Park 3, a kaiju heart from Pacific Rim, and more are amazing little Easter eggs and they’re woven into the house. However, if a guest spends all of their time looking for these movie-realistic props, they risk getting scared from behind by sneaky actors.
