Hanna Haunted Acres Review (2026)

Getting to Hanna Haunted Acres was a breeze. The property was easy to find, signage helped guide us in, and friendly parking attendants kept vehicles moving in the right direction. Better yet, parking is FREE!

Once inside, navigating the grounds was just as easy. Signs marked each attraction entrance and the various queue lines, though a few of the line signs were a little harder to read. From picking up our tickets to entering each haunt, everything ran smoothly. Each attraction also had a staffed entrance where ticket takers helped manage the flow of guests.

Planning a visit is easy, too. Ticketing information, their trailer, FAQs, and other important details are all readily available online, making it simple to know what to expect before arriving.

The staff members we encountered were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Hanna even had staff in reflective vests roaming the midway to help keep the grounds clean, and several offered to take group photos for us at the park’s photo ops. The property itself was clean and offered plenty of places to sit, including a new stage area surrounded by benches. Even the portable restrooms and handwashing stations were a welcome touch, especially for a large haunted attraction operating on a farm.

Hanna Haunted Acres really delivers that middle-of-nowhere type of attraction, which already gives you that eerie feeling that once it gets dark, you feel pretty removed from everything around you, and that isolation adds to the atmosphere before you even step inside. The midway works really well with that. There’s just enough going on without overdoing it. There’s food, roaming characters, and places to hang out, a giant wooden pumpkin in the middle, and you can still look out and see the darkness surrounding the property.

Each attraction had well-lit signs that set the mood, and each one offered something different. Cannibal Chaos had that gritty, backwoods feel. Freakshow brings in the twisted carnival side. Dark Echoes gets darker and more enclosed, while Bitten gives you that enchanting manor atmosphere with more details to take in. Even the small entrance ticket areas to the indoor attractions are decorated to let the creepy vibes set in before going inside.

Stalker Farms added new features this season, filling in some of the open areas we’ve seen in previous years. Seeing them positioned around structures, disappearing into the corn, or the addition of what appeared to be some sort of bomb shelters made the attraction feel more alive. It wasn’t necessarily about creating another scare; it helped make Stalker Farms feel like an actual place we had wandered into, rather than just a path cut through the cornfield. We would love to see the story of Ma and Pa Stalker come to fruition more inside the haunt, but we felt the immersion improved a lot, and the taller corn helped, too!

For the Haunted Hayride, a mix of new scenery and prop placements made the environment feel much fuller. The use of real fire, animatronics, lighting, and large scenes made it feel like we were being driven away from the midway and almost back into another time. There were moments, especially with the headless horseman and some other deranged creatures lurking throughout the ride, where it had that old-school Halloween feeling. Watching these scenes appear out of the darkness, with fire lighting up the surroundings, gave the hayride its own atmosphere and made the environment feel much bigger than just a ride through the property.

A common thread amongst all the attractions at Hanna is the attention to detail in the scenery. If you have a moment between screams, we definitely recommend taking a gander at your surroundings.

In Cannibal Chaos, the inhabitants had the bright idea of using their victims’ clothes as decorations, which really gives it that lived-in feel. Over in Bitten, you know you’ve not just walked into any vampire’s lair – these vampires have money! A beautiful mansion, filled with little details like their personal symbol carved on anything and everything throughout – even a stained-glass window in one of the scenes! Dark Echoes, as the name implies, leans into the dark and ethereal, making us feel like we stumbled into an occult gathering. Fortunately, we escaped that without becoming sacrifices! But not before swimming through the bloody river sticks!

Another common thread throughout the attractions is smart use of the animatronics. They supplement the actors and are rarely the main scare, striking a good balance between the two. Among the numerous chainsaws sprinkled thoughtfully throughout Stalker Farms, we found unfortunate farm workers mid-electrocution and a combine surprise looming out of the corn.

The Haunted Hayride ups the ante with massive fire eruptions and demons, trains that ram the side of the wagon, and massive spiders that descend from above! At times, these effects came closer to the wagon, making for more intense encounters. They’ve also added a new Sleepy Hollow section with some sweet special effects!

We’re always delighted when actors are interactive with us. After all, they’re the stars of the show – and who doesn’t like talking to a star? Whether you’re hanging out in the midway eating some apple pie cookies and cutting up with the characters there, or running for your life from cannibals and vampires that want you to become a permanent resident, we always look forward to these interactions. Some of those cannibals even tried to reason with us to stay this year!

The banter with some of the characters elevated the entire haunt, like the Bearded Lady in Freakshow or the helpful opossum guide in Stalker Farms (just don’t let them steal your socks!). We felt the number of haunters filled the attractions well, except for a few spots at the beginning of the mansion and Freakshow.

Within the various attractions at Hanna, including the midway, the costumes were beautiful to look at. The costumes in Dark Echoes left us feeling unnerved as the mysterious figures emerged and dissolved from the fog – most notably their masks! The clowns at Freakshow looked like they walked straight out of a dark circus, and the lux vampires in Bitten left us wondering if a bite might be worth it for a room in the mansion 😂.

Special shout-out to the midway actors, including Skittles, Tarot, the woman in the skin suit (again, nice nose job!), the stilted jester, the Crochet Clown, the spider lady, and the crazy guy we dubbed Hazard – you all did great keeping us entertained anytime we were in the midway!

Hanna Haunted Acres gave us a good mix of energy, anticipation, and different styles of scares throughout the night.

Cannibal Chaos brought some of the highest energy, with characters who really matched the wild environment around them and kept things unpredictable. A few actors got so close to us we thought they were actually going to touch us! There were a few moments where the timing of the scares felt slightly off, though, where we either caught the setup too early or were already moving past the best spot before the scare happened.

Bitten had some similar moments. The atmosphere did a great job building that anticipation, but sometimes the payoff came a little too early or late. Things suddenly moving around us certainly caught us off-guard, and the main vampire chasing us out the exit was memorable!

Inside Freakshow, the actors felt a little too far apart at times, but we still got a few scares from angles we weren’t expecting! We were nearly plowed down by some falling barrels, a bungee actress seemingly came out of nowhere, and the clown at the vortex tunnel was great! They got us several times, cornered one of our team members, and stalked us all the way out the exit!

Dark Echoes is at it sounds – it’s dark! The shadowy figures danced around us, plunging out of holes in the walls. We feel that a louder, heightened soundtrack would add some intensity to this one. We also came across a lot of corners where everything made us feel like a character should be waiting for us, only for the space to be empty.

Stalker Farms took the highest Scare Factor score this year! It must be those well-hidden chainsaws… Seriously, their timing out there was impeccable, and simply hearing the saws revving in the distance added an uneasy layer of suspense.

More things came after us this year, too, and some of those actors were hidden incredibly well! Ma sat so still as we approached her house that we were convinced she wasn’t real… until she proved otherwise.

And that uneasy feeling of being lost in a corn maze with no idea how to get out? Yeah… we found it!

The hayride showcased the widest variety of scares and delivered some of the biggest hits of the night! Our heads were constantly on a swivel as we tried to figure out where the next attack would come from. They even intensified one of their classic effects this year, making it far more unpredictable than before. We can’t spoil the surprise… all we can say is, watch out!

Hanna Haunted Acres now utilizes timed ticketing, with online general admission priced at $32.90 on the night of our visit. Fast Pass tickets were $44.95 plus fees, while Immediate Pass tickets were $60.95 plus fees. Prices vary by night, with cheaper options typically available on weekdays and Sundays. Guests can also choose unlimited admission tickets or hayride-only options. Hanna is open every day in October, so you have plenty of days to visit!

For those looking to add even more to their night, Hanna offers several separately priced experiences, including the Coffin Ride for $5, D.O.A. for $10, and the Zombie Bus for $10. We tried both the Coffin Ride and Zombie Assault Bus and enjoyed both. They also have an amazing tarot reader!

While we don’t score food, we do have to mention that we recommend visiting hungry! Hanna has a lot of great-priced food, including walking tacos, elephant ears, breadsticks, and much more! Also stop by Lilith’s Apple Silo for some amazing cookies, apple cider slushies, and caramel apples!

Not including our wait times in line, we spent 38 minutes inside all six haunted attractions! That brings their MPD to 1.16, which is a great deal! All tickets also include admission to the midway, where you can enjoy all kinds of fun for a full night of fright, including many free photo ops!

Whether you’re dodging chainsaws in the corn, outrunning a combine, or braving the creatures waiting inside, Hanna offers an entire night of Halloween fun in one place. There’s just something about getting scared on an Indiana farm in October that feels right, and Hanna Haunted Acres continues to capture that feeling year after year!
