Looking for the top Illinois haunted houses? Over the past summer, we hosted our second annual nation-wide poll, where haunted house-goers could vote for their favorite “Must-See” haunted attractions in Illinois. We’ve tallied the results and posted them here so you can find the biggest, best and scariest haunted houses in the State! #10: Fright Night Forest City
Forest City, IL
Fright Night Forest City is a multi-attraction event! Each year, they also update their haunts to make them bigger and better each season!
#9: Haunted Infirmary
Bartonville, IL
The Haunted Infirmary at Bartonville Insane Asylum is the annual fundraiser event for Limestone JFL. In addition, the attraction also takes place in the Pollak Hospital, which is the TB ward of the historic Bartonville Asylum (Peoria State Hospital).
#8: 13th Floor Haunted House IL
Melrose Park, IL
The 13th Floor Haunted House consists of multiple attractions at a single location. In addition, each of the haunts can be experienced for one price!
#7: Realm of Terror Haunted House
Round Lake Beach, IL
Defy fear and attempt to escape the haunted house that is recognized by the world as one of the most “over-the-top” attractions to ever exist! The Realm of Terror is a horror experience unlike any other you have visited before. The attraction also warns that it has been designed specifically for mature audiences only!
#6: HellsGate Haunted House
Lockport, IL
HellsGate is brought to you by Zombie Army Productions… the same masterminds behind the creation of nearby Statesville Haunted Prison. 2017 will be their 2nd season in operation and, after reviewing this haunt in 2016, we can tell you that this isn’t your typical haunted house. Designed to fulfill the legend haunt-goers have sought out for years (the one where you get your money back if you complete the challenge), HellsGate is a multi-level mansion and, without a doubt, a “Must-See” for haunt enthusiasts!

Montgomery, IL
The Massacre Haunted House attracts tens of thousands of fans each year from across the country! In addition to this list, they consistently rank at the top of many other “Top Haunts” lists as well.
#4: Dungeon of Doom Haunted House
Zion, IL
Dungeon of Doom is now celebrating 20 years of fear! For 2017, they are offering over 40,000 square feet of terror at their single location. They also claim to be the only 60-minute walk-through haunt within a 300-mile radius!
#3: Statesville Haunted Prison
Lockport, IL
There’s a deranged prison in Chicagoland, along with something else that’s very dark and sinister. Consistently rated #1 in Illinois by our review teams, it’s no wonder that Statesville continues to be placed among the finest haunted attractions in the State by their fans.
#2: Ravens Curse Haunted House
Centralia, IL
Ravens Curse Haunted House consists of over 11,000 square feet of pure terror! In addition to becoming known as Illinois’ “premier haunted attraction,” Ravens Curse is also owned and operated by Pale Night Productions.

Marquette Heights, IL
Spook Hollow has been scaring Central Illinois for almost 40 years! Serving as a fundraising event that also benefits the Marquette Heights Men’s Club, this is one “Must-See” haunt that you are NOT going to want to miss!
