Overall, I'd definitely go back to Nightmare Acres. The first weekend of October it wasn't too busy, we paid for the fast pass and didn'... ;t wait at all, but the regular line didn't look too long. They did a nice job of spacing out the groups (which is hugely important for overall experience in a haunt!) and let just the two of us go through as a pair without sending us in with others. There were some cool effects, including a cabin on hydraulics and a completely fogged out section. Most of it is outdoors/open-air. You do have to pay to park and there isn't a ton to do aside from the trail (there's a couple concession options), but it's worth a visit if you're in the area and definitely better than some haunted attractions I've been to!Read More

Worst haunted attraction I have been to by FAR. I go all over New England every year to find the best haunted attractions- this comes in dead last. Kn... ew it was going to be bad when tickets were $40 for a fast pass ticket and had to pay for parking on top of that. Had to buy the fast pass because they sold out of general admission. Online the place looks great as well as reviews. I had very high expectations going into this. Walking in, before we even scanned our tickets, I got scared by a greeting person. Sadly, that was the scariest part of the event along with the entire place smelling like shit. Payed $40 each, for me and my partner (a group of 2), and ended up being placed with about 20-30 people. This completely ruined the entire experience. First 2 people at the front of the line would get a jump scare, but the rest of the 28 would just walk by unfazed. The business is setting the actors up for failure. It is purely a cash grab to get as many people through as possible without actually caring about any sort of experience. For the price, marketing, and advertising you think this would be a top notch high quality experience, but instead it’s just a gimmicky cash grab. Don’t be fooled by their marketing, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Try somewhere else and don’t waste time or gas going here. Also keep in mind, if you don’t get a fast pass, you will be waiting about 45 to an hour before you get dissappinted. If you value your time and money this is NOT the place for you.Read More

I agree with all The Scare Factor wrote in their review, however, customer service was fine, and the place was easy to find in 2019 with a big sign an... d plenty of lights. Best thing about this haunt is the price. It's one of the better haunts in CT (which says a lot), and at $15 a screaming deal. If you are on a tight budget and can only afford to go to a couple, or just one haunt, this one should be on your radar.Read More

I expected to see a little more "farm" related scares, like scarecrows, ravens, etc. from the poster. There are a a few, and this isn't... truly wasn't necessary of course, but maybe in the future could be incorporated. It would be really neat to some 3/4 of the way through the maze to come across an actual scarecrow that looks like the poster/logo.Read More
