What They Liked Most:
Fields of Fear takes place on a family-owned farm. The sets and props were a highlight, with fog machines, low lighting, and other elements adding atm... osphere along each route. Cornightmare and The Forest each ran around 15 minutes or so. Most of the actors made a clear effort to deliver good scares. Timed entry deserves credit as well, since it prevented the long waiting lines common at other haunts, even though it fell short in other ways.Read More
Suggested Improvements:
Guest behavior was the biggest problem. A heavy concentration of unruly teens and preteens pushed from behind and ran in multiple instances on the tra... ils, and rules went largely unenforced. Timed entry also did little to cap group size, so conga lines and clusters of guests formed. Scares were somewhat predictable since most sliding doors and panels were visible, and many actors leaned too heavily on noise. The chainsaw actors in particular were predictable and unengaged, though this was partly the result of guest behavior. At $45 per person, the event was also overpriced, though that is part and parcel of the area in Northern Virginia.Read More
