Guest Experience10

Finding Laurels House of Horror is pretty straightforward! Simply type the attraction’s address into your GPS, and it will take you directly to the theater. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that parking is available throughout the surrounding plaza. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before coming. There are no dedicated parking attendants directing traffic, so be extra cautious when navigating the parking areas. This is a busy plaza with plenty of pedestrian traffic, especially on big event nights, so watch out for guests walking between their vehicles and the attraction. And when we say busy, we… Read More…

Immersion9.84

If there’s one thing Laurels House of Horror absolutely understands, it’s IMMERSION! From the moment you arrive and step into the queue to the time you make your way through the attraction and eventually reach the merchandise shop, this place goes above and beyond to create an entertaining and immersive experience. In fact, the overall immersion was easily among the best we’ve experienced all season! The atmosphere starts building before you even step foot inside the theater. On the exterior, you’ll find a classic movie theater marquee proudly displaying the attraction’s name, immediately setting the tone for what’s waiting inside.… Read More…

Special Effects9.6

Laurels House of Horror continues to turn up the intensity when it comes to its special effects, and it’s clear that they’re putting effort into improving their technical presentation year after year! As we made our way through the attraction, we noticed several impressive effects, including multiple 3D projection mapping sequences and some new special effects incorporated into different scenes. These additions help bring the environments to life and make certain moments even more memorable. Let’s talk about the sound design because this attraction absolutely delivers in that department! The audio throughout the haunt is incredibly loud, crisp, and clear,… Read More…

Characters9.74

One thing Laurels House of Horror absolutely does not lack in is characters! This attraction features an incredible variety of actors and personalities throughout its many different environments. From hotel employees and suspicious hotel guests to members of a sinister cult and characters lurking throughout the studio, there is always someone around to keep you guessing. You never really know who you’re going to encounter next, and that’s part of what makes the experience so entertaining! We particularly loved the character interactions inside The Carlisle Hotel. Our experience started with an attempt to check in with one of the hotel’s… Read More…

Scare Factor9.64

Laurels House of Horror delivers an impressive variety of scares from the moment you step inside until the very end! The actors make excellent use of their surroundings, keeping guests guessing about where the next scare might come from. There was rarely a moment when we felt completely safe, which made the entire experience exciting and unpredictable. One of the biggest highlights was the number of hidden scare locations throughout the haunt. Actors were strategically positioned behind walls, tucked into dark corners, and concealed within the scenery, allowing them to launch scares from practically any direction. You never knew where… Read More…

Value8.36

When we walked through the attraction, our total haunt time came in at 26 minutes. Honestly, that’s not a bad run time for a haunt, especially considering how intense this place is every second you’re inside! Ticket prices range from $29.95 to $39.95, depending on the night. On the night we visited, tickets were $39.95, which brought our MPD (Minutes Per Dollar) to 0.65. Yes, that might sound a little low since we typically like to see that number closer to 1.0. However, this attraction is incredibly intense, and you’re fully immersed from beginning to end. We absolutely enjoyed every… Read More…
