Summary

This second-year haunt is in an actually closed-down school being repurposed with community offices and one unique haunted attraction. Several key personnel from other well-known haunts joined together to put on a unique haunt, in which a high school’s students and teachers get zombie-fied, and the experience is complete with classrooms, jocks, a prom, and more! The experience takes you through a school year, with the prom at the end being the finishing touch. We really haven’t seen another haunt themed this way. The Final Bell is a “sister haunt” of Hera’s Nightmares, and you can get combo passes that… Read More…

Paths to the entrance and ticket booth were well marked. Spotlights and wall projections draw your attention so you can’t miss it. We got our tickets and went into, well, the school. Plenty of parking near the entrance. Crowds were light on this night, so we went right into the attraction after we got our tickets. Loud music and lighting effects filled the queue area. The PA system was blaring with mock announcements from the principal’s office. This is a no-touch haunt. Also, there are no areas to climb or crawl through, so it’s pretty friendly for impaired walkers. There… Read More…

Immersion9.93

From the opening PA system announcements to the final prom scene, you felt like you were in a zombie-filled school. Pro-style light and sound systems keep the line queue buzzing and prepare you for the haunt to follow. Everything was true to theme. No laser swamps or random clown rooms to take you out of the story. Since it is, in fact, a school, you can’t help but be encompassed by that. Teachers, students, the maintenance guy, athletes- all play specific parts and keep the storyline together. Dark areas were DARK. This felt like an adventure more than a typical… Read More…

Special Effects9.3

Lighting and sound was used to great effect. There were animatronics galore, and they were timed well. The booming bass line of the custom soundtrack made your ribs shake, and that adds to the foreboding feel and discomfort. Throughout the haunt, a constant, deep rumble played. There were no dead zones. Scenes were very busy with plenty of zombie destruction throughout. Dark areas were hit with a strobe every few seconds to truly blind you and keep your eyes from adjusting. Fog effects were well timed and gave brief white-outs. Animatronics all had blasts of light and sound to accompany… Read More…

Characters8.68

This haunt has many distinguishable characters. Teachers, students, athletes, and a nurse, all playing their parts with very detailed costumes and masks. Many actors wore colored contacts, which are extra creepy, and all were very interactive with our group. Most were playing parts, so listen as you go through. There were some areas that, although loaded with animatronics, could have used an actor. For the most part, actors here are set up to act and not jump from behind. We really liked the “newspaper” ghoul and the basketball court area, and the teachers had hilarious dialogue. Don’t get caught without… Read More…

Scare Factor7.59

As with most actor-heavy haunts, the scare factor suffers because there aren’t ghouls jumping at you from every angle. During our visit, we would consider this a MEDIUM scare haunt. They got us a few times. The dark area maze walls are fitted with rubber hands, which at first feels like you are being touched in the dark until you realize the joke. Flashes of light and sound accompany some of the actors’ entrances. You won’t get touched here (by the actors, anyway). There were a few spots where the scene design made you look “here” while someone jumps out… Read More…

Value7

The night we went, the price was about thirty bucks. We went through the attraction in about 15 minutes, which, when factored against the standard $1 or less per minute “good value” standard Scare Factor uses, doesn’t knock you out value-wise. But we felt that the haunt was very high quality. There are currently no selfie stations or additional things to do except the main attraction.
