Cast Review:
The cast was diverse, featuring a lineup of characters drawn from iconic horror franchises and various time periods, which added a chilling richness to the experience. Familiar faces like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers made appearances, while lesser-known characters added depth and surprise to each encounter. The cast was located across different places, giving the space an immersive, haunting atmosphere without feeling overcrowded. This spread-out placement heightened the tension, making the threat feel omnipresent and allowing each interaction to stand out.
Throughout the experience, well-crafted vignettes added layers to the narrative, like an eerie toy shop owner cursed by an unknown force, and a sinister monk guiding us toward an unsettling exorcism.
A standout moment came during an interaction with Michael Myers, who was engaging; he blocked our path in a damp, fetid corridor, creating a sense of urgency and terror that elevated the thrill to a new level. Each of these elements worked together, delivering a chilling and unforgettable experience.

The costumes brought each character to life, from classic movie monsters to more unsettling, original creatures. The attention to detail allowed for realized, immersive characters, including one especially eerie figure—a lifeless “mannequin” who stood up right in front of us, catching us off guard. This blend of familiar horror icons and strange, unpredictable beings, heightened the scare factor, and added an extra layer of suspense to the experience.

The attraction is located on Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and is easy to find. As street parking nearby is very limited, we recommend arriving on foot for the smoothest experience. Staff onsite were helpful and accommodating, though responsiveness via social media and email could use improvement. Luckily, the website provides plenty of helpful information in advance, allowing visitors to plan their experience successfully.

Immersion Review:
There was a fantastic pre-haunt atmosphere, that immersed us like we were descending into a dark labyrinth or ancient tomb. Roaming scare actors and detailed decorations were in the waiting area, along with live horror movie footage playing on screens that helped build anticipation and set the tone. Each room was complicatedly themed, with unique storylines that enriched the experience.
For instance, one room was styled as a cursed shop, filled with eerie, demonic items that included a nod to Annabelle. In another chilling scene, we found ourselves in the midst of an exorcism, and were warned not to look the possessed girl in the eyes. This layering of narratives and attention to detail created an atmosphere that was both immersive and terrifying. The experience concluded in a themed bar area, where the haunting ambiance continued, making for a memorable end to the adventure.

Special FX Review:
The maze featured not only familiar horror elements, but also rarely seen scenes that added an extra layer of excitement. For instance, Freddy Krueger’s iconic boiler room made an appearance, immersing us in the unsettling atmosphere of his domain, and added true terror to this attraction. This attention to detail, paired with the soundscape tailored to each scene, deepened the immersion. Rooms inspired by films like Friday the 13th featured authentic soundtracks, grounding us in the world of each horror classic.
The sensory details extended beyond sound, with touches like the scent of incense in the exorcism scene, enhancing the haunting ambiance. The beginning set design, complete with eerie trees and a lifelike graveyard, set a spooky, enveloping tone. Pneumatic effects, such as a shaking bed, and sudden jarring movements, provided extra physical scares that added to the immersive experience. These special scenes and layered effects combined to create an adventure that was both spine-chilling and memorable.

Scare Factor Review:
The attraction used deception masterfully, often making us think we should be focused in one direction, while delivering the scare from another. For example, as we fixated on a mirror in the distance, Ghostface suddenly darted across our path from behind a set of curtains, catching us completely off guard.
The scares were well-balanced for everyone in the group, though it seemed that those at the back experienced more intense moments, as objects and activities often activated just after the first few people passed through. Sound-based scares were a particular highlight, with chilling effects that built tension, and amplified each scene. Right from the beginning, the experience was gripping; a seemingly straightforward narration was interrupted by something truly terrifying, setting the tone for the scares to come.
