Summary

Unreal Nightmares is an incredible haunted attraction that blends elements of both a touch haunt and an escape room, and it can be terrifying at times. A Paranormal Team’s hunt went wrong when an ancient being tore the team apart, and it’s your job to go in, locate, and retrieve the missing members of the team! Each room is another level of primal power and evil that is going to keep you there, unless you find a way out… This was no easy task, especially since the Team Lead was clueless about finding clues (Yes sir, that was me). This… Read More…

Unreal Nightmare was very easy to locate. GPS took us straight there, and parking couldn’t have been made any easier. Coming from Linton (Inside joke: the team has nightmares about that place now), it’s a straight shot and a left turn at a traffic light. If you miss the big red sign, then I literally can’t help you. You park across from a clearly marked edifice with two large skulls peering down at you as you walk in. A bay window allows you to look inside the waiting area and shopping corner. The owners are pleasant and warm to speak… Read More…

Plenty of advertisements for cool merch, treats, and jewelry show you the radness that is in store. As you enter, the floor turns grey and is covered in blood and paint. The noise is horrific, a clear sign of what is to come. Tickets and treats are sold just between the waiting room and shopping corner. Glow sticks mark those ready for a touch-experience in this escape haunt. Thinking of shopping first? Watch for ghouls appearing where you least expect them. As you enter the initial attraction space, you are surrounded by plastic-covered walls – something bad has happened here.… Read More…

Special Effects9.13

This place knew how to use them; that’s all I got to say. I will say more, though. The music, the lighting or lack of, fog or no fog made each room feel special and new. Prop interaction is a requirement if you plan to get out alive – and if you take too long, actors will enforce your interaction. Fog, lighting, and overhead music/whispering keep patrons absolutely disoriented, and as soon as you think you have figured out what is coming next, you quickly realize you were wrong. Certain hallways had invisible wire hanging, so you felt like you… Read More…

As the night grew older, we did show up later in the night, but the crew that remained was amazing at their performance. Each room had different characters that played very well in the scenes they were in. In one room, we were in what could be described as a child’s room who threw a tantrum or threw toys and dolls around due to the insane doll Monster lurking over you as you scurry to find the code! They beckoned the group to stay and play with them, perhaps for a bloody teatime or to become helpless like the paranormal… Read More…

When you walk through those doors, you have two options: to be touched or not. We chose touch! This was my first touch haunt, and what an experience! The touch option added the strongest scares through sensory overload. Actors grabbed, caressed, separated, spun, and even picked us up while overhead noise, fog, darkness, and activity from multiple directions made it difficult to focus. Being moved away from the group and losing track of everyone around us added uncertainty, while the search for a code gave us a goal and helped build some suspense. However, the experience often felt more fun… Read More…

If I had to tell you how I feel, it would be that it was crazy and I want more of it. Once the group left, we couldn’t stop talking about it for a long while, and even once I placed my head on my pillow, I dreamt about this place. We spent roughly 40 minutes inside to finish walking through, and with their ticket cost of $15, it puts the haunt at a 2.67 MPD. We got there late at night, so there wasn’t a line, but even if there were, this would be worth it! They do have… Read More…
