Summary

Wells Township Haunted House is truly a different breed of haunted attraction! One of the things that makes this haunt unique is that you’re assigned a tour guide to lead you through the building, which is a good thing because it’s easy to get lost! Each room features a different scene, making the entire experience feel like a journey through multiple nightmares. We ended up with Bones as our guide, and he did a fantastic job! They have multiple guides here, and from what I’ve experienced, they’re all great at what they do. The building itself dates to 1836, adding… Read More…

When arriving at Wells Township Haunted House, you’ll quickly realize that you’re smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood! Parking is limited to street parking, but you can find a spot if you’re willing to look around a bit. Right before reaching the midway, you’ll find the ticket booth, and navigating the property is extremely easy. One thing I really appreciate is that there isn’t a long line to stand in while waiting to enter. Instead, they call your group by number, allowing you to enjoy the midway while you wait for your turn. There’s plenty to keep you… Read More…

From the outside, you can tell that this attraction is an older building, which adds to its creepy charm. The music is cranked up when a band isn’t playing, helping create the spooky atmosphere even before you enter. The exterior also features a well-lit sign displaying the attraction’s name, making it easy to spot. Inside, the attraction features a variety of different themes throughout. One thing that stands out is how smoothly each scene transitions into the next. Rather than suddenly throwing you into a completely different environment, there is a gradual transition that helps set the stage for what’s… Read More…

Special Effects8.7

There is a lot going on inside this creepy old building, but the attention to detail and the execution of each effect are seriously impressive. Lights flick on and off in certain rooms, while props and other elements suddenly move, catching you off guard and adding plenty of unexpected scares. The timing of these effects makes them even more effective because they happen so quickly, leaving you little time to prepare! The music throughout the attraction was another highlight. Each scene featured different music that matched its theme, helping give every room its own unique atmosphere. We also loved the… Read More…

Let’s start off with our tour guide, Bones! At first, he was a little quiet, but as soon as we entered the first scene, he started adding a touch of humor that really brought out his personality. He ended up being great throughout the entire attraction and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. This haunt felt packed with actors from beginning to end, and every single one did a phenomenal job in their respective areas. Each scene featured its own unique characters and skits, and everyone was on point with their performances. It was clear that the actors put… Read More…

Scare Factor8.59

Throughout the night, there were plenty of unpredictable scares, and they got us good a few times! Some scenes featured moments where the lights would suddenly go out, only for an actor to be right in your face when they came back on. These quick surprises were incredibly effective and kept us guessing about what might happen next. One of our favorite scare tactics was the use of death whistles. These things were EXTREMELY loud and caught us off guard every time, giving us some pretty good startles! We also loved that the actors targeted everyone in the group rather… Read More…

Value8.78

General admission tickets are $18 at the gate, while VIP tickets cost $30. If you purchase general admission tickets online, the price increases to $24, so buying at the gate is the better deal if you’re planning to attend! We spent a total of 20 minutes inside the attraction, bringing our MPD (minutes per dollar spent) to 1.11 based on the $18 gate admission price. This is above average for us, as we like to see an MPD of at least 1.0. For the price, we were happy with the experience and everything this haunt had to offer. Another fun… Read More…
