There are so many, so we’ve created a creepy list of Halloween haunted house attractions that we’ve reviewed, visited ourselves, filmed, or are popular amongst many haunt visitors! Remember, this is not a “best of” list – this is a top list of haunts we feel that you need to add to your visit list this season for various reasons. Now… let’s get to this list of spooky shenanigans!

#5. The Nevermore Haunt – Baltimore, Maryland

The Nevermore Haunt has been a local tradition since 2016 in the Baltimore area. From the moment we arrived during our previous visit, we were immersed in decades of Baltimore history, presented in a way that you won’t find anywhere else. The creativity behind this haunt is awe-inspiring, seamlessly blending entertainment with the city’s rich legacy. The haunting begins on October 3rd for the 2025 season.

Bennett’s Curse features “over 30 minutes of non-stop Hollywood-quality horror.” Year after year, this haunted house continues to push boundaries, using its space to create an all-encompassing experience.

#3. Markoff’s Haunted Forest – Dickerson, Maryland

Markoff’s Haunted Forest is undoubtedly one of the best haunted trails in the country! “2025 ushers in a few new updates to some old scenes” that both new and returning visitors will enjoy. With over one mile of terror, you will put your terror to the test! From Viking ships, wicked witches, terrifying timbers, and more, Markoff’s is an unbelievable haunt with an even more unbelievable finale! You can begin testing your fate on the haunted trail on October 3rd.

#2. Laurel’s House of Horror – Laurel, Maryland

The ladies are lethal at Laurel’s House of Horror, a high-tech, immersive haunted attraction that takes place inside an abandoned movie theater. In addition to the haunt, guests can experience spooky and horror-themed escape rooms, photo ops, real paranormal investigations, a gift shop, and more! Opening night for the 2025 season is September 20th.

#1. 301 Devils Playground – Galena, Maryland

301 Devil’s Playground features five terrifying haunted attractions all at one location! For 2025, they are bringing you the House of hell, The Harvest (a haunted corn maze), 3-D Phobia, The Barn of Torture, and all-new Barnyard! The hellish fun begins on October 10th!
