Summary

Myers Haunted Attractions, all operated by the same owners, is home to three haunts: Myers Inn Haunt, Myers Forest of Fears, and Wolfman’s House of Screams. Although we’ve visited the other two attractions before, Myers Forest of Fears was a new experience for us this year! The woman we spoke with at the entrance told us how much time and effort had gone into this year’s production and how proud they were of the results. Hearing how much work they had put into the haunt made us even more excited to see it for ourselves!

Guest Experience9

We arrived at Myers Forest of Fears later in the evening, which may explain why the waiting area was quieter than the first haunt we visited. There were fewer people around, and the entertainment and activities seemed a bit more limited as a result. Even so, the area was nicely set up, and the ticketing process and queue moved along at a steady pace. The staff at the ticket booth were also very helpful and happy to answer our questions. When I asked how many actors they had working the Forest that night, I was told they had started with… Read More…

Immersion9.25

Despite arriving later in the evening, we never got the impression that the actors were holding anything back. They were committed to their characters and brought an energy to the haunt that made each encounter feel authentic. The forest itself almost acted as a character, with the surrounding trees, darkness, and natural setting creating an atmosphere that felt genuinely unsettling. Rather than feeling like we were moving from one staged scene to the next, we felt as though we were venturing deeper into a place where these characters actually belonged. From the witch and her sisters to the hillbilly man… Read More…

Special Effects9.3

There were some special effects at Myers Forest of Fears that we had never seen before! Near the beginning, we entered what appeared to be an open-topped passage with metal walls and flooring. Once we were halfway across the platform, the walls suddenly collapsed inward toward us with a loud metallic crash, prompting plenty of startled screams. For a split second, it genuinely looked as though the walls were about to crush us! It was an unexpected effect that caught us completely off guard. We entered another area where we heard someone shout, “Don’t forget to duck, or you’ll be… Read More…

Characters9.3

Myers Forest of Fears was filled with characters who seemed right at home among the trees. A witch and her sisters greeted us, and we were more than happy to accept the candy she offered! A hillbilly man holding a black snake had a rather unusual proposition for us: he wanted to know if we’d help him clean the snake so we could eat it. We also encountered a disturbing scene featuring a girl and her collection of dolls. Unfortunately for us, she seemed intent on adding a few new dolls to her collection, and she had her eyes on… Read More…

Scare Factor8.7

There were scares in Myers Forest of Fears that were really inventive and fun! It’s awesome to see what kinds of things haunts can come up with, and we were really impressed with this haunt’s ability to give us something new. The “Dark Zone” was an area we were warned about at the front. We were told it was okay to ask for help, and some people do get lost. The area is quiet and completely pitch black, so when one of the actors came up next to me and began blowing in my ear and face, I was obviously… Read More…
