Art the Clown was definitely a standout. He lurked creepily around us before suddenly jumping out in front of us – the kind of unpredictable behavior you’d expect from Art! Beetlejuice is a fan favorite at Myers Inn Haunt, and he and Lydia Deetz were both there, staying completely in character. The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers was every bit as creepy as you’d hope, while Michael Myers surprised us with a very different side of himself: dancing on top of a car to Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” Freddy Krueger managed to make us both jump before turning the scare into a laugh. We also crossed paths with Ghostface, Jigsaw, and M3GAN, adding even more familiar faces to an already impressive lineup.
The attention to detail extended beyond the characters themselves, with impressive masks, makeup, and costumes that helped bring each one to life. As we exited the haunt, we even spoke with an employee who said she helped sew some of the costumes, which gave us a better sense of the work that goes on behind the scenes.
