#10. Hollerin Haunts Hayride – Clinton, North Carolina

Hollerin Haunts Hayride in Clinton, North Carolina, has been delivering a night of terrifying thrills, all less than an hour’s drive from both Raleigh and Fayetteville. Known initially as Vander Haunted Trail, the attraction now covers 30 acres and features a haunted hayride along with Hells Acres, the haunted house and trail. With creepy creatures and unsettling surprises around every turn, it’s a destination for those seeking a hauntingly good time. The screaming begins on September 19th for the 2025 haunting season!
#9. The Haunted Farm – Hendersonville, North Carolina

The Haunted Farm in Hendersonville has prime real estate as it sits next to an actual graveyard. Here, one can make their way through the Lively Farm and remember why nothing good comes from dealing with the damned or young teenage love. This is a place where the nightmare shifts from Voodoo priests to insane asylums, and you see a whole world of cursed scenes spread out before you. Details abound in all of these terrifying places, and you must make your way through the monsters to get back to the safety of the parking lot. Opening night is September 27th, 2025.
#8. Kersey Valley Spookywoods – Archdale, North Carolina

“Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Kersey Valley Spookywoods, home to over an hour of immersive, spine-chilling sets, all included with your ticket!” The haunt opens on September 26th for the 2025 haunt season!
#7. Spooky Bottom Haunted Trail – Seagrove, North Carolina

“Experience the backwoods horror attraction” known as Spooky Bottom Haunted Trail! For those looking for an ultimate night of fright, they also feature the Killers Inc. Escape Room and UV (Glow in the Dark) Gellyball, where you must survive a zombie horde! The frights begin September 26th, 2025.
#6. Panic Attack Haunted Attraction – Nakina, North Carolina

“The Carolina’s most extreme haunted attraction,” Panic Attack, has lots of new things in store for 2025, so stay tuned! The event will begin on October 3rd!
#5. Boogerwoods Haunted Attraction – Rockwell, North Carolina

If you imagine the frightening but fun vibe of an Elvira horror movie mixed with the WWE and filled with wild special effects, all in the name of ending Cystic Fibrosis, then you have imagined Boogerwoods. This is a wild place where you’re just as likely to laugh as to scream while high-energy guides take you through a variety of different locales, from a carwash to an old-school cage match. Many of the things you see in Boogerwoods are only in Boogerwoods. The fun begins October 11th, 2025!
#4. Woods of Terror – Greensboro, North Carolina

Woods of Terror is one of the largest haunted house attractions on the East Coast! This powerhouse of a haunt features many themed attractions, a giant midway, stage, special events, a gift shop, food, drinks, and more! You can expect to find mushroom zombies, miners, a Stranger Things-inspired house, a pirate ship battle, a church, graves, and so much more! The horror begins on September 13th, 2025!
#3. Reapers Realm Haunted House & Trail – Salisbury, North Carolina

For over two decades, Reaper’s Realm has been haunting the hearts of Rowan County, delivering goosebump-inducing thrills. Originally rooted in China Grove, North Carolina, this haunted attraction moved to Salisbury, NC, just a few years ago, setting up shop on an 86-acre farm! We’ve been big fans of Reaper’s Realm for quite some time, and it’s always fun to see what this haunt has in store. For the 2025 season, you can get your scare on starting September 20th!
#2. Lake Hickory Haunts – Hickory, North Carolina

Situated in Hickory, North Carolina, this attraction has become more than just a haunted attraction; it’s a destination! Now offering 13 attractions in one location, guests will experience endless frights! They also offer three different ticketing options: Fast, Faster, and Fastest. New attractions for the 2025 season include Nightmare Factory: Unleashed, Curse of the Mummy & Pharaoh’s Tresure Escape Rooms, a new driveway, a parking lot expansion, and the new Midway of Mayhem Amphitheater! The screams begin September 12th!
#1. Nightmare Factory – Havelock, North Carolina

Nightmare Factory in Havelock, North Carolina, is back for its 19th season, and it’s more than just a haunted house; it’s an entire experience from the moment you arrive, where you will experience true fear. Before you even step inside, the energy hits you as you walk around the outside of the building, where sideshow acts entertain and prepare you for what’s waiting beyond the entrance. It’s not your typical queue line; these performers set the tone for the night, adding a theatrical, carnival-like vibe that only builds the excitement. Opening night is Friday, September 26th, 2025.
