We’ve created a creepy list of Halloween haunted house attractions that we’ve reviewed, visited ourselves, filmed, or are popular amongst many haunt visitors! Remember, this is not a “best of” list – this is a list of haunts we feel that you need to add to your visit list this season for various reasons. Now… let’s get to this list of spooky shenanigans!
#13. Haunted Hills Estate Screampark – Uniontown, Pennsylvania

Haunted Hills Estate is the ultimate haunted attraction with three attractions at one location! For the 2025 season, guests will experience The House: Abandoned, Twisted Nightmare: Giggles and Gore, and The Trail: Pulseless. In addition, there will also be a midway filled with photo ops, roaming characters, live entertainment, and more! It all begins September 12th!

With an all-new location, Portals of Fear is back, bigger and badder than ever! Are you ready to see what lies beyond the portal of fear? Opening night is October 3rd, 2025.
11. Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The historic Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has turned the dial up to eleven. Inside this truly haunted and massive complex are five haunted attractions, three lounges, and additional non-scary attractions. This Halloween festival of epic proportions opens on September 19th for the 2025 season. Oh, and make sure you opt in for the more interactive experience!
#10. Scary Harry’s Haunted Trail – Homer City, Pennsylvania

Scary Harry’s Haunted Trail is unveiling “The Web of Fears” for the 2025 haunting season. “Can you untangle the web you have woven through the years?” This attraction is PG-13. The screams start on September 26th!
#9. Hundred Acres Manor – Bethel Park, Pennsylvania

Hundred Acres Manor has become a haunt staple in the Pittsburgh area. Not only is this one of the largest haunts in the area, but it also features a Scream Bar, a 5-minute escape room, a maze, and more! Get scared starting September 12th, 2025!
#8. Field of Screams – Mountville, Pennsylvania

Field of Screams in Mountville, Pennsylvania, more than lives up to its name! FoS is a ‘touch’ scream park that features two indoor haunts, a trail, and their legendary hayride, and NONE of them are shy about getting up close and personal. From darting through the Den of Darkness to fleeing chainsaw-wielding maniacs on the Haunted Hayride, then avoiding lobotomies in Frightmare Asylum, to narrowly escaping those in Nocturnal Wasteland, we screamed our way through every attraction. You have been warned! It all begins on September 12th, 2025!
#7. Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride – Glen Mills, Pennsylvania

Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride is one of the most iconic haunts in the country! This haunted park offers three haunted attractions, including Bates Motel, Revenge of the Scarecrows Haunted Trail, and the Haunted Hayride. In addition, guests can also hang out in the midway by the fire, gaze through the gift shop, take some photos, grab some glorious donuts, and more! The terror begins September 19th, 2025!

Pennhurst Asylum takes place on the historic and haunted grounds with four terrifying haunted attractions. They are: Pennhurst Asylum, Pennhurst Tunnels, The Morgue, and The Catacombs. Was that just a ghost, a figment of your imagination, or something far worse? Haunt tours begin on September 20th, 2025!

The ominous bell tolls once more. School is back in session. It’s time to dust off those books, sharpen those pencils, and prepare for a lesson in fear because Crawford School of Terror is back. With three floors of fright, we’re sure you’ll have a terrifying experience you won’t forget! Fear starts September 26th!
