8. Extreme Fear ScareGrounds – Kinson, NC

Extreme Fear ScareGrounds opens for the 2023 season starting September 22nd. New this year is Midway Madness and The Basement Escape! You can also experience Mayhem 3D, Nixon Asylum, and Insanity at the ScareGrounds.

7. Boogerwoods Haunted Attraction – Rockwell, NC

Boogerwoods is an entertaining haunt in the Carolinas that is put on all for finding the cure for cystic fibrosis. New for 2023 are the Mineshaft, Backwoods Theater, Boogerassic Park, Booger Labs, Earl’s Small Engine Repair, the Pirate Ship, and more! Opening night is October 13th.


6. Lake Hickory Haunts – Hickory, NC

Lake Hickory Haunts is a haunted theme park featuring 13 haunted attractions and more. New for 2023 is the Big Top Circus, a massive midway expansion, and the Ghost Town. Opening night is September 16th.

5. Panic Attack Haunted Attraction – Nakina, NC

Panic Attack is a winding walk through differently-themed sections that will give you chills! For 2023, they have a new addition, Twisted Tales, Scary FairyTales! The limits will be pushed, and lines will be crossed!

The Haunted Farm is celebrating 13 years of terror! “The haunted farm sits on a mysterious stretch of land where locals claim an age-old blood feud between two families has devastated the local farming community. “

3. Kersey Valley Spookywoods – Archdale, NC

Kersey Valley SpookyWoods Haunted Attraction is a multi-element show that offers a thrilling experience for all horror enthusiasts. From multiple haunted houses, a dark tram ride, icons of horror lurking about, a cornfield laser maze, a midway, and more, we’re sure there’s something for haunt lovers of all types here. Their season begins September 15th.

Woods of Terror is a haunted thrill park featuring over 16 terrifying haunted attractions with one ticket! They also have a monster midway filled with games, food, and fun! Get your scream on starting September 16th!
