Background: Team Houdini primarily covers the escape room scene in the greater Pittsburgh area. However, during the Halloween season, they may also be helping Team Scary Potter cover a few haunted houses in the area as well.
Scott has been a fan of Halloween, autumn, and the supernatural since he can recall.
At the age of 13, in the fall of 1995, he started his journey into the world of haunted attractions. After his first experience, he was hooked by the cool crisp air, the excitement, the atmosphere and the fear.
As years passed, Scott’s passion persisted, each year travelling to new haunts and adding new friends to join him. Scott is joined by his wife Rachael, brother in law Ray, friend Mark, and occasional friends to find the best haunted attractions.
On February 26, 2015, Scott was watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory. In this episode, the characters went to try a game where they were locked in a room with a zombie. This was the first time Scott had heard of an escape room. Immediately, he fell in love with the idea and was searching Google to see if there were any in his area. At that time, the idea of an escape room was a new concept. That summer, he found that one of his favorite haunts was opening two escape rooms in the fall. After the first escape room, he was hooked. Scott has attempted several escape rooms in the area, joined by his mother Kathleen and other members of his team. Their mission: to escape the most interesting escape rooms!
